Samsung Heatpump Dryer Owners

Hi all! recently purchased a Samsung Heat Pump Dyer (DV80TA020AE), however I am experiencing some problems just wanted to know if others have too. I am experiencing the following.

  • Lint is all over my clothes and the doors.
  • A cycle never seems to finish, and always adds on half hour.
  • Condensation on the outside on top of the door (see pic).

I have cleaned out all the filters and the heat exchanger.

Thanks all!

Agreed: Samdung's kit is often dire.

I have the same series washing machine and absolutely love it. Thought the dryer would be as good

I have this exact dryer and absolutely love it and touch wood no issues in the 6 months I've owned it.

    Couple of questions/suggestions:
Have you plumbed it to the drain? if not are you emptying the water container either before or after loads? I have plumbed mine into the washing machine drain with an air break, during the cycle I hear it constantly pumping out water.
What cycle are you running? I run mine on mixed loads and let the "AI" do the rest. I believe it measures the moisture levels during the cycle and adjusts time accordingly. Typically a largish load will take between 2.5-3hrs.
Condensation on the outside suggests poor ventilation in the room. I have a window cracked open in my utility.

I have the exact same washer and I love it. Nope not plumbed but the water tray is emptied every cycle. Funnily enough I used the mixed loads cycle and that’s the cycle that never actually dried my clothes, but kept adding half hour. I had a Miele previously and they never gave me no problems (although that wasn’t a heat pump). The window is always opened.

I managed to speak to a Samsung repair person earlier, he said the problems are standard. But asked me to send him some pics.

Also, how do you get the clothes to come out the dryer smelling nice?

    thanks for the reply.  (edited)

Is a Dyer better than a Dryer?
