The MSI GeForce RTX 3060 VENTUS 3X 12GB OC Graphics Card brings a performance-focused design to maintain the essentials to accomplish any task at hand! The triple fan arrangement and industrial design lets this sharp graphics card fit into any build.

COOLING

Torx Fan 3.0 keeps things cool when the gaming heats up. The award-winning MSI TORX Fan 3.0 design creates high static pressure and pushes the limits of thermal performance. Zero Frozr ensures fans stop when temperatures are low to eliminate noise.

REINFORCED BACKPLATE

For added durability, a clean-looking bushed-finished back plate reinforces the length of the card. It also adds an aesthetic effect to suit the industrial style. The graphics card really is ready to take on anything!

TAILORED PCB DESIGN

Without going into detail about how AMD and Nvidia are still too expensive, this is by far the best card in this price range.

As many newer games are showing, the higher 192-bit bandwidth, much faster memory, and more of it, DLSS (no alternative on AMD. FSR 3 is still inferior, and even then it works on Nvidia), and energy consumption, put this card in a much better place.

The slight difference on paper for the 6600 cards does not translate in real world scenarios with most newer titles offering DLSS, or those needing more memory, which is still the case at even 1080p.

Unless you're budgeting slightly higher and looking at a 6700 (XT version) or better, I would absolutely recommend this 3060 card over any 6600, 6600XT, 6650, 6650XT, non XT 6700. Those cards have zero future proof implementations, whereas this 3060 does.

It's also the most used card on Steam. You can expect driver support to still be vastly more optimised now and in the future. When it comes to compatibility with legacy games and newer titles on release, you get what you pay for with AMD. They have improved, but still far behind l. (edited)

Nvidia doesn't base their 'driver support' based on which GPU is most popular. They generally just stop giving a damn once a part is two generations old no matter what. Just look at how poorly Turing GPU's are doing in a number of more recent games. This has been a recurring trend for them for quite a while now. Also, most 'driver optimizations' are made towards architectures in general, not specific GPU's. All these GPU's in a given range are basically the same thing, just in more or less amounts of the raw units involved(some exceptions will exist of course). (edited)

Edit: Oh apparently Speccy is rubbish these days - HWinfo is better and showing my stats correctly (edited)

Still showing on the item page. Tried and works for me. Have you already used the code on a different order?

The frame generation portion of DLSS doesn't even work on 30 series cards, does it? So in that case, DLSS would be inferior than FSR3 for this GPU, no?
    XiaofengXiaofeng_Xiaofeng's avatar
No because DLSS is actually good whereas FSR isn't.

Keep reading that nivida cards are better for FORTNITE in Performance mode, rather than AMD.

Something about performance mode on DX11 and Nivida is very good for this, but not AMD.

Too bad cause AMD cards are usually better value and give more for the £££.

Was thinking about a 6600/6600xt/6650xt and really wanted the 6700xt for longetivety.

This would be paired with a Ryzen 5600/5600G and ON 1080P!

Would this Nivida card be good for Fornite in that case?

Any advice from experts with REAL world experience MOST appreicated.

For Christmas present for my 12 yo mad on Fortnite!

    thank you.
