Football Manager 2024 Mobile will launch exclusively for Netflix members from November 6th.

Now, through Netflix’s global reach and membership base, more players than ever before can fast-track their way to footballing glory and benefit from the addition of four new languages to the game.

Football Manager 2024 Mobile coming exclusively to Netflix

If you’re an existing player with a Netflix membership, you'll be able to find and install FM24 Mobile through the Netflix mobile app when the game launches in November. It will appear in a dedicated Games row on Apple phones and a separate Games tab on Android devices*.

Players can still find FM24 Mobile on the App Store and Google Play, but you’ll need a Netflix account to login and begin your next journey to footballing greatness.

If you’re not logged in to Netflix on your device, you will receive a sign-in prompt upon reaching the game’s loading screen. At this point you’ll either need to enter your Netflix account details or sign up for a new membership.

Whether you’re at home on the sofa, on the work commute or travelling to a football away day, FM24 Mobile delivers a fast-paced thrill in every career.

As detailed in our announcement trailer, FM24 Mobile’s new features and functionality will be revealed during the week commencing October 23rd.

Haven’t played football manager in such a long time, so sorry if this is a silly question. But does anyone know if you can play multiplayer against friends in the mobile version, and do they have to be on the same platform as you? E.g Android or Apple?
    nickbatesss's avatar
Not a silly question at all mate, but no you can't play multiplayer on the mobile version unfortunately ️ only the PC version

So if you have IOS you have to pay for Arcade ?

So I can get a months netflix download FM 2024 watch a few series then cancel?

Netflix publish a different version of the app themselves that is tied to your Netflix sub/login as per the previous comment.

How complicated are the mobile versions to play? Bearing in mind the last football management game I played with any real dedication was Championship Manager 2 - 97/98 with a brief go at CM 01/02. Are these newest games ok for the casual user or do you need to be investing many many hours into them?

At least up to now they've been quite a bit simpler to play than the PC versions.

I actually now only play on mobile as it's much more akin to the old champ manager games in its simplicity.

It's still very detailed but you don't have half the crap to do when you take over a team.

Don't get me wrong I can still lose hours sometimes but that's doing a whole season rather than 3 hours just setting up your team lol

    I see it’s got a lot of in-app purchases.

Is it relatively playable without them ?
    tomowlings's avatar
For sure. If it's the same as previous they are effectively cheats like having a rich owner.

First thing to do for every fm24 manager.  Sign de gea on a free.

Depends if he demands that Man Utd wage. If so I'll stick to my £500/week South Americans

Really quite disappointed in the direction they've gone with this.

I appreciate Netflix are trying to get into the gaming sphere but this route will not please fans who have been playing for years and now all of a sudden need an active subscription to play.

Netflix creating original content behind a paywall, fine, but this is a bitter pill to swallow.

Subscription to play? For that reason, I'm out.

believe it's free if you have netflix. If you want you can pay the £10 on app store

Decent. There goes my battery life

Sounds like we need to be online each time we play? So no offline play when travelling on the underground?
    JohnnyBlazeon's avatar
You just need to be online for the verification to complete (could take a minute or more depending on whether there's a big update that needs to be downloaded first). After that you can play offline for the length of that session. I've done this several times with other Netflix releases

Platform exclusives are gross and anti consumer
    JohnnyBlazeon's avatar
Platform exclusives still have their place I feel. It's been decades and that scenario is unlikely to change nor do I personally want it to change. I don't believe platform homogenisation is good for the videogame industry.

Any idea what the process is to get this please? I can't find FM 24 anywhere?!
    R2Pacman's avatar
Whilst other versions of FM24 just went live at 4pm, I think it's 5pm for FM24 Mobile on Netflix.
  13. matty_art's avatar
Is the tablet version still an Apple Games exclusive?
    JohnnyBlazeon's avatar
FM Touch wasn't an exclusive last season. Not sure what's the case for this season

Ongoing subscription required - is this really a deal?

It's certainly not 'FREE" should we start deals about every FREE tv show or movie on Netflix?
    cache's avatar
    ? pay2play = not free

Anything yet? Past 4pm and can’t see on App Store or the Netflix app
    R2Pacman's avatar
Check at 5pm as I think FM24 Mobile goes live then. They were talking about it on Talksport earlier and said 5pm for Netflix users. Not sure why it's an hour later.
  16. Jukesy224's avatar
Thank you for the link but no idea why it isn't showing up in goole play or the netflix app

I wasn't sure why either so thought would have a look on twitter and the official Twitter handler replied to someone with that.

    So thought I'd share here

Bit torn on this 1. I have a turkey Netflix account so it's good for me but for giving non subscribers no option to buy it's a bit of a trash move

How do people not have netflix in 2023 ? Have you not asked your parents 😁

Never had one. I use an IPTV service for all my needs.

Nice deal. Play FM23 mobile on my commute a lot so happy to get a free upgrade!

Terrible idea putting fm24 mobile behind a paywall especially as it is a long running series. Think I'll stick with fm23 pc from Amazon prime
  24. herrbz's avatar
    Is this not old news?

And if you need a Netflix subscription just to play it, that sounds like a pretty poor deal. One month membership costs more than the game itself normally sells for each year.
    CashCow's avatar
The cheapest standard subscription will be just shy of £60 for 12 months. Considerably more than the full fat PC game.

Admittedly, you get more than a mobile game for a year's subscription, but if you don't want the TV and movies, it's frankly a ridiculous price to pay.

I'm glad that this is on Netflix because I subscribe to Netflix... BUT I'm not a fan of games being tied to subscriptions with no option to buy separately. I'd love the touch version on iPad and would happily pay for it but I don't want to subscribe to Apple's games thing.
    WagyuA5's avatar
Im the exact same. I don’t like mobile games period and want to play this on my MacBook. I have access to it through Netflix and gamepass, even though I have two access points I still can’t play it natively on my MacBook without Apple Arcade. Surprisingly though the console version feels pretty nice to play, but I’d still rather play on Mac.

The mobile version is not exactly great anyway. It feels like the game engine from the early days of computing with the way results etc. are determined.

FM24 Touch is a far better experience and is available on Apple Arcade again this year. Sadly though, I can't play FM without an in-game editor to grant myself limitless supplies of oil money. IAP's are not available on Apple Arcade.
  31. PsychONeill's avatar
So the mobile version comes with Netflix and the main version is on Gamepass!

Will I be able to swap between my samsung phone + samsung tablet but still play the same game file?
    JohnnyBlazeon's avatar
It's tied in to Netflix so presumably yes.

This has annoyed a lot of fans. The community is quite angry about it. You have to pay for Netflix or you can't play anymore.
