- Surprise saving session today 1730-1830
(edited)Usually I get notifications but I didn't for this one. Good share, thank you! - I've spoken to octopus cs on twitter and they've confirmed this does not affect any tarrifs you're currently on.

Energy saving session today 1730-1830- Anyone with this company and have a EV charger at home? I’m with EDF and looking to shift asap and they’re EV unfriendlyYes - I use them for gas and electric, company electric vehicle and as part of this they installed our EV charger.
Personally I find the utility side of the company pretty useless. Will reply to your first email then never respond so you got to hope they fix your issue in first time round.
I had a few issues to start with that I was able to fix myself but they never bothered getting back to me.
Not really sure why they get high marks for customer service.
However now it's all up and running not had any issues and works as it should do. (edited) - the web link says returning in Nov 2023 so dont think you can sign up for it as yet.. octopus.energy/sav…ns/ (edited)Yep! Same here
- Another tomorrow
- Interesting, Which region are you in? I've emailed octopus, as i meet the criteria as describred
- I will have to look into this because i'm not sure how to do it
Thank you for your helpful suggestionTo request information on the data that Octopus hold about you, contact them via dpo@octoenergy.com
If you have emailed them in the past about requesting a smart meter, they should hold copies of the emails you sent them, and any replies sent back. - Think this might for select users as I can’t find it on my app.Read the post! Only for eligible postcodes.
- There may be a other session today ,keep your eyes peeled , national grid have posted a alert as will be short notice again
- I'm lucky to be on the Octopus Tracker and it's unbelievably cheap. Last month I paid £6 for gas.
Its almost always half the price of the energy price guarantee for gas and two thirds of the price for electricity, no brainierI'm on octopus tracker too, but that's less than the standing charge for the whole month... - Even if you do nothing other than click the button to opt in, you won't lose money and might save some.Agree
- There’s another session tomorrow (15th) between 17.00-18.00
- Just in case you missed it guys, you can now get a free regular hot drink from Greggs every week as an Octopus customer signed up to Octoplus: hotukdeals.com/sha…614Only for people that have a working smart meter
- AuthorI think it's been officially launched now - check if you are eligible
- AuthorYou may need to update the app to the latest versionI’m already on the latest app! 🤷🏻♀️
- Anyone on their Agile tariff, is it possible to make money (obviously after setup costs and factoring in life if batteries etc.) by using the cheap/negative pricing overnight then selling it back between say 4-8pm every day?if you have batteries you may be able to get on the intelligent tariff. Charge up at 7.5p overnight and sell back at 15p anytime during the day
- Starts November
- I am able to sign up for the offer today from within the app.
North West London accountSE London too - Available for me now
- My Octopus account page refers to Octoplus as a "Rewards Program" and not as any kind of new tariff.
This is confirmed ('phew') on the FAQ page:
(edited) - This company is awful! Avoid! It's certainly getting that way - customer service, which once used to be good, is now worse than the big boys it used to beat. It's now too big, too greedy and too poor at looking after customers.
- I have been with them since they started the tracker deal. And I have been continuously requesting a smart meter for more than a year now
I cannot get a smart meterGood luck. Was previously with EON and successfully got my issues resolved via the ombudsman. This included upgrading a faulty smart meter. Still took 9 months.
I switched to Octopus the same day they resolved and paid me the required compensation. - More bait for the drones to get a smart meter, like turkeys voting for Christmas.Yes of course. Getting a smart meter will result in certain death!
- If I sign up for this does it take me off the tracker tariff?.. or is it an add on (edited)No it doesn't. Went through the T&Cs to make sure.
- Postcodes should be first thing in the posting.
- I hope opting into this doesn’t affect Tracker package. I mean tracker package will still remain on my account ?I thought it was something you could do in addition to being on Tracker - I certainly hope so! ('gulp') (edited)
- Luckily managed to opt in
- What's everyone's results so far , don't think mine is too bad£70.94! That's brilliant how did you manage that?
- Were you logged in? I saw this initially but I logged in and then saw a button at the bottom and it let me sign up
- a sweet yummy trap to get you all on smart meters. They aren't ready for this yet.
- For those who can’t see the offer in the app, log into browser and you’ll see this option
- Not badNice one mate....good result. We only managed to get £2.25 (80% saved .. 0.99kwh)....
Weird though as I turned everything off and we are heavy users. Was expecting quite a bit more saved.
Oh well - results are in for 29.11.23 , i saved 6.7 kwh @ £4.20 a kwh = £28.14 plus exported rate at 15p kwh that’s another £1.05 , not badFor anyone who says this whole scheme isn't worth doing, when done right, you can save some decent cash.
