The GEL-SONOMA™ 6 running shoe is designed for the great outdoors. Taking inspiration from the ASICS trail running family, this shoe is a versatile offering that's functional for trail runs, light hiking, and other outdoor adventures. We also used fewer resources to color the sockliner for a more sustainable design approach. The focus this season was to improve the fit of the upper, so we implemented a new last design that provides a more secure midfoot and heel fit, while the wider toe box allows the toes to spread out. The synthetic stitching on the overlays is designed to improve durability while also helping feet stay secure and reduce slipping. Underfoot comfort stems from a full-length AMPLIFOAM™ midsole and GEL™ technology cushioning unit that's placed where runners need the most impact absorption. To increase the softness with every step, we've included an ORTHOLITE™ sockliner for excellent comfort. Additionally, the multi-directional grip outsole improves traction on a variety of surfaces. All of these comfort components are complemented by durable properties, such as the solid rubber outsole—making this shoe a versatile choice for the trails.Style #: 1011B050.300

I had this, don't waste money as the other reviewers said, tears up by the mesh and tight, uncomfortable shoes

Had the same experience with the mesh but after about 9-12 months of regular walking and I found them
    comfortable up until then.

Ordered these as such and I like the colour.

Would flag that the wear rate on the soles is horrendous. Great grip but you pay for that.....

Agree, if you run a lot these cheaper Asics models are a false economy. I've tried a few thinking I could save more pricey shoes for race days but these fall apart very quickly.

I like my Asics and I have owned and do currently own a lot of their shoes for both trail and road but these are the worst I ever had. The grip was not really above a mixed surface type shoe and the toe box split on both pairs I had at really low mileage, the lack of cushioning was noticeable too. The only positive I could find is they are pretty light for a trail shoe.

I managed to get a refund from Sportsshoes.com for the pair I bought from them but I had a right struggle with Asics to get any kind of warranty. They begrudgingly gave me a 30% off my next purchase voucher. I wouldn't buy from Asics directly again due to the poor support but I do use a local outlet store. (edited)

Interesting what you say about the grip, as I see from your other comment that you also have Trabucos. I thought the tread pattern on these shoes looked almost identical- but I guess the Sonomas don't operate as well for some reason?

Asics just don't last. Brooks far superior brand

I wore Brooks for years but I've recently switched to Asics as it seemed like Brooks was starting to go downhill. I had a pair where the inner material at the heel quickly wore out, leaving large holes. The next pair, they'd shrunk the toebox compared to previous versions. I've had 3 pairs of Asics so far, and no problems to report.

Bought these and the sizing is way off. Go a half size down from your normal size.

    Cold, not water-proof.

The vast majority of running shoes are not waterproof.

I spent £35 on a £48 pair of running shoes, and apparently saved £45!
Stock is being replenished, I hit the unexpire button.
