Dominating Specs
Reign over the game world with the combined power of an AMD Ryzen™ 6000 Series processor and up to NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti graphics (fully optimized for maximum MGP). Configure your laptop for maximum speed and massive storage with two slots for M.2 PCIe and up to 32GB of DDR5 4800 RAM.

Visual Intensity
Everything looks better in QHD with AMD FreeSync™ keeping those frames tight and in-sync. The lightning-quick 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time guarantee your game sessions will be fluid, unbroken and unmatched.

Coolness Under Fire
The newly refined chassis comes with a few extra tricks up its sleeve in the form of dual- fan cooling, dual-intakes (top and bottom), and a quad-exhaust port design. For extra control, pop open the NitroSense utility app and take command over fan speeds, lighting, and more.

The Key to Victory
Spice things up with the 4-zone RGB keyboard and take command of the inner workings of the laptop via the dedicated NitroSense Key. The WASD and arrow keys are also highlighted for easy visibility for those clutch moments.

Breaking the Sound Barrier
Better audio delivers a competitive edge as well as a more immersive experience through dual 2W speakers. With DTS:X® Ultra, sounds are clear and can be provided in a 3D spatial soundscape, allowing you to hear where your opponents are coming from with pinpoint precision.

Killer Connectivity
With the Intel® Killer E2600 Ethernet Controller and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, you have all the tools you need to clear out the online competition. Plug all your peripherals into the full range of ports, including HDMI 2.1, the new, powerful USB4™, and the latest USB 3.2 standard with Gen1 and 2 support.

Make sure you pay with a credit card, as their credit status has nosedived to negative, as reported today in The Times. Whilst any takeover should still honour your warranty, it's always best to have your ass covered

Good advice, always worth doing that anyway with all the cashback and points available. The warranty should be honoured by Acer too. Are we likely to see Argos go into administration?

How would this be with 1440p gaming?
    phoenix029's avatar
Good, should handle most triple A at high 1440p but if you want consistent triple digit frame rates you’ll have to lower settings

    GPU wattage?
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
Full fat 150w. I might be wrong but this seems to represent the best mobile gaming power you can find in a laptop under 1k

The price is good and overall the laptop, apart from the very high noise levels, has been completely improved over the 2021 and older models. +++
    plewis00's avatar
Yes, the older ones could barely handle 105W TDP GPUs. This one seems to be a big improvement, still all plastic though.

Does anybody know if it has good cooling + what are the noises from the fans?

. From this video they go real loud

Apologies if this gets asked every single year around this time, but is it likely that we'll see better than this come Black Friday? Or is £100-off RRP / Amazon price about right? Been eyeing up a Nitro 5, as I don't care about the fan noise

what is people's take on Quidco's double discount rate for this?
I can't work out if it would stack or if its another 10%
    captjaneway's avatar
Was wondering the same....20% back would be lovely
