I'm curious about this seeing it in stores like Home Bargains . Anyone have thoughts about this product quality??

10g of BCAAs per serving is way too much, it's a cheap filler and in this case 5g would be just as good.

By the looks of it, it's a low quality protein powder and you only get 800g. It also is higher in calories. So for normal people, it's fine, but I have 2-4 scoops a day so I'd probably end up drinking a few hundred calories more. I personally wouldn't buy it but it's OK. Probably one of the worse protein powders I've seen but the price point makes it ok'ish

The famous words. But he thinks ghee is good for you... I'm sure it's not.

What does he use instead? Liver and eggs? (edited)

This is Ultra whey. 97g protein per 100g so 97%.

    77g per 100g, so 77%.

For those wondering on contents, it’s got good whey protein, 35g of it per serving and works out to about 55-60p per serving. Fats, carbs and cals content pretty good too.
Good deal for this. Go for content in protein not a name

Cheap protein, least it has digizyme to help with any bloat , xantham gum though 😷
Food all the way and shakes for occasional downfall days

I don't agree. Besides it is hard to get 100 grams plus of first class animal proteins from the diet. I don't count plant proteins as protein. They are incomplete and low value...

Besides, whey and casein might have health benefits e.g. microbiome. Though maybe moderation is key.. I am not moderate.. I have drunk 4 pints of milk per day for 30 plus years. Maybe it will kill me before I get to 60.

Xantham gun doesn't worry me.. besides, one study in mice seemed to suggest it might even slow down tumour progression.

I don't drink, I don't smoke.. I don't do weed.. I don't do steroids.. I don't eat fast food.. and I don't touch tap water or fizzy pop... I think the odd chocolate cookie and a bit of crap in my protein powder aint gonna cause me any problems. (edited)

Newsletter banner says 10% off so might work out at £9/800g with that. (edited)

It's ok. £12.50/kg for 79% protein. I think most folk hope for <£10/kg these days then stock up.

Note that this brand had a serious product recall recently.

"Some of these products were found to contain levels of caffeine at levels that could be fatal."

Personally if I was shopping for protein I'd rather wait for some myprotein or similar clearance deal although it's a lottery what flavour it will be. (edited)
