I appreciate the 4 is out now but I bought the 2 in the summer, with the fly more extras and I can thoroughly recommend as a first/intro in to drone photography.
The extra batteries an absolute must though.
It is so easy to fly, the app is great and the quality of the kit is super. (edited)

Hi I used to have a DJI Tello which was Bluetooth and struggled when flying above the roof of my 3 storey house..

Would this be a good alternative? I got the Tello stuck in a tree and after it came down during a storm, someone pinched it

If you're not too fussed about the DJI quality video then the C Fly Faith Mini is a good alternative which has more features and is about £155. The DJI Mini 2 SE is class leading in video quality, build quality and general quality though

The SE has a limited and potentially troublesome range . The mini 2 uses Ocusync 2 where the Mini 2 SE uses the much shorter WiFi system. Just putting it out there so folks can make an informed decision. (edited)

All DJI mini drones can fly a distance more than you see. (edited)

What's the maximum payload this one can carry?? Asking for my ukrainian friend

Mavic 3 is better suited with supporting systems readily available, but cost more and can be lost quickly unfortunately.

How do you see where you are flying?
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
On your mobile phone. It attaches to the controller

Great drone and a very good deal. I've had the Mini 2 for just over two years now. Very easy to fly, excellent camera and video quality as well. Strongly advise the fly more combo option also.

Yes the 3 & 4 Pro are better but they are considerably more expensive. (edited)

The mini 2 is better still than the mini 2 SE.

Does this have a follow me mode?

    No not on this one.

Great deal! Good beginner into drone photography! Something that bugs me with cameracentreuk is that they use the stock mini 2 images , as it shows 4k on the gimbal.

You must have 8K vision to spot that

I have the DJI Mavic Mini and even that one is awesome. Brilliant picture quality. Love it! (edited)

Very tempted by this. I sold my Mavic Pro (mk 1) as it just wasn't getting used. This at sub 250g and sub £250 is almost a no brainer

I want the 4pro, but the standard 2 does essentially everything I'll need it for. It's a great drone!

So tempted, do I or don’t I? And if so do I get the fly more combo for an extra £120?

I assume I will need to buy drone operators licence and insurance if I buy this? (edited)
    englandbulldog's avatar
Yeah you will but it's easy to pass and only a tenner

I have a Mavic Mini, is this worth the upgrade?
