Compare Xbox Consoles - Is it worth upgrading from an Xbox One X?

I´m wondering if it´s worth upgrading my Xbox one X - I didn´t realise until googling there is now an Xbox S disc drive version.

Well cocked that up - see that is an Xbox one S, not S series... seriosuly i need help lol

I can´t seem to find anywhere that compares the xbox consoles to include my one x and the new ones.

Only reason for thinking of upgrading is so my son can have my console, or would it be better to get him a preowned xbox one and keep mine? - we both don´t have the best TV´s, although mine says 4k upscaler with 60hz refresh rate, and 3840 x 2160pixels is the better of the 2.

    51319948_1.jpgThe one on the right is the one x which you own if you want to compare the console side by side. I personally think it's worth the upgrade just for the SSD. The difference in loading times is phenomenal. I gave my daughter my one s when I got the series X and when I see her use it, it frustrates me how slow it is because of how much I'm used to the SSD now (edited)

    This is an issue I have been deliberating over since their launch. I have several Xbox One X's & Xbox One's, the kids regularly play on them. Everything from Minecraft to Call of Duty! There are quite a few Xbox Series only titles, however they have been able to play them via cloudplay. For me currently the only advantage the Xbox Series has is the SSD load times. For me those load times are negated when you play multiplayer games as it doesn't matter how fast the game loads you will have to wait for everyone else to sync up/join anyway.
    Offline single player is where the SSD load times really shine, but then my kids rarely if ever play offline single player games. I am over halfway there with reward points, however MS won;t let me redeem them at present, but I am in no rush to purchase a Xbox series

    It also has instant on feature which allows you to effectively hibernate it and come straight back to your game
