I know this will likely go cold on here but I think it's good price for a three-layer Gore-Tex Pro jacket. You normally don't see Gore-Tex Pro shells for south of £300-£400. So for those looking for similar and don't mind the branding, I think it's a good deal.

Link in deal is for yellow and black. Available in black at link below.

Ordered the yellow jacket and trousers... I might be brave and try to remove the terrex logos. Anyone got thoughts on chances of success with a warm iron/rubbing alcohol/acetone?
    Optimus_Toaster's avatar
I wouldn't, anything that gets rid of the logos would almost certainly damage the waterproofing.

Great deal just ordered black. If you like the yellow colour can get the matching Goretex pro trousers with 65% off for £115

Sent mine back this morning took about 1 min to decide but faffed with it for 15/20 min to be sure. Hood is absolutely huge. Appreciate its helmet compatible but 99% of time I won’t be wearing a helmet and when adjusted to fit my head there’s so much extra cords it looks stupid. Also find the neck way to long that I’d be constantly messing around with it. When normally done up it stops above my eye brows . Find the zip cheap and hard to use and arms are super wide. Overall for me it’s not what I’m looking for. I have 2 adidas myshelter rain.rdy jackets, which in comparison I find amazing fit wise and haven’t failed yet. I’ve always wanted a proper Goretex pro jacket so thought this would be ideal but unfortunately IMO it’s junk. Think I’ll save more for a Rab waterproof jacket and skip Goretex pro altogether, as likely would be OTT for me. Just hope the return and refund goes smoothly. (edited)

just ordered, Today, Barbour Ladies Fairfield 100% Wool 3/4 Jacket from Chelford Farm supplies. reduced from genuine £329 to £199 - All wool for 'The Field'. That's what this competes against. HOT deal though OP. Nice One. Pondering one as I also use North Face top end - never tried Adidas though. (edited)

What are you on about - that’s not what this is competing against - it couldn’t be any more different unless it was a lamb casserole!

I've said it on a previous terrex deal, I have the terrex techrock GTX pro, RRP £450 and it's the most poorly crafted jacket I have. Seam tape is peeling all over the place, pit zips are weak and bust through putting the coat on.

Is it me or did the Terrex range used to be a fairly competent range of outdoor clothing when it came out.

Feel like they're now trying to cash in by selling through the likes of Sports Direct and potentially not as well made.. Can't say whether this is the case specifically for this jacket as Goretex Pro is the nuts (have it on my motorcycle clothing).

I'd echo the comments above as have a montane climbing jacket and if you're not using it for mountaineering the high cut pockets (to keep out of the way of your harness) and oversized flappy hood (to fit with a helment) will quickly iritate you.

i had this from tkmaxx a few years ago for the same price, insane value

I was about to slate it for lack of harness compatible zipped pockets - then spotted it definitely has them too.

Looks like a banging price for the spec. Terrex gear is typically not brilliantly made (they ruined 5:10 when they bought them out), but as it’s goretex pro it should be pretty much guaranteed to be good.

sorry to ask. Are these suitable for skiing or snowboarding?
    LI-CHIANG_HSIAO's avatar
Although you can wear it for snow sports you won't have the specific features of a skiing jacket such as snow powder protection at the waist which it stops snow from entering into your jacket when you fall. Etc.
  8. elcheapo's avatar
These Terrex logos are too big on their products
    JoShmo's avatar
Black Sharpie would sort that out

Seems fantastic for the price. I've got the Mountain Equipment Tupilak which looks quite comparable and is also Gore-Tex Pro and it's an incredible jacket and was significantly more expensive than this.
    Hiyayou's avatar
That's interesting, I have the mountain equipment lhotse gortex pro jacket. I've bought my size, although it's perfect fit around shoulders and length, it's a bit fitted around the waist and would be problematic when layering.
Sounds silly but my jacket is quite 'noisy' and all I can think about is plastic bag noise, I find it funny thinking a black bin liner would keep me try too .
    Sorry I digress.
    Heat added for this jacket!

    Bargain!

I really don't need another coat!...

    Ordered!
  11. Daveaka's avatar
I've returned my jacket, I think a Gore-Tex Pro mountaineering jacket was overkill for my requirements, noisy uncomfortable material and the hood & zips would do my head in. I should've known better really
    john_n3MU's avatar
Well done. COLD DEAL. Shoulda bought an English Barbour..........very smart at the countryside ball if invited.

    Cheap for Pro
  13. batemansxxxb's avatar
Good price, but not so good supplier in my experience, customer service is lousy & you may even receive a completely different item
    Tommo742's avatar
I’ve had a few things from there in the last couple of years and all had to be returned because they were poorly made. It seems they’re known for selling seconds and that’s why they can do it so cheap.

Blue Light card holders can get 5% at Sports Direct, only works out @ £7.45, but still handy.

    Great price for pro jacket!

Got this few weeks ago, excellent jacket been great with all the rain. Remember it's thin, shell, so you need to adopt a layering system.

Is this the same jacket at £155? Looks more like the Techrock Gore-tex Pro in reviews from Dec 2022. In blue if anyone prefers: mandmdirect.com/01/…lue

slightly different, look at the hood difference.

You can return for a refund on online orders. I ordered the matching gore Tex trousers didn’t like them and got a refund.

Sports direct don’t allow refunds on in-store purchases.

but what can you expect for the price...............
  23. Holgmaster's avatar
I just got the trousers delivered. My usual size but these are shaped for a 5 year old. Barely get my leg into these. Def not designed for westerners … real shame.
  24. plath's avatar
arm length looks really long on this jacket. goes past the wrist on even the model.
    dellboy82's avatar
    Really wide sleeves too
