Google Pixel 7 Pro Fingerprint & Screen Protector

So took the plunge changed my P30 Pro for Pixel 7 Pro. 

Apart from the fixed date on home screen which I can't remove, my only issue is with fingerprint recognition with a screen Protector.

I have the screen protector option switched on but still can't get fingerprint recognition.

Anyone got recommendations for a screen protector that works with fingerprint.

    Yes me too ,but got the film protector instead has it's something at least.

    Pixel 6 with glass screen protector and seems to work ok although I don't always use. Find it easier to double tap and swipe pattern (edited)

    My Pixel 7 finger print detector is hit and miss with a glass screen protector on the phone. I have the screen protector option switched on too.

    Pixel 6a user with a glass screen protector.

    Registered same finger twice (iirc) and it's usually ok - if it doesn't work usually a quick wipe of my finger on my jeans is enough to make it work again.

    Though I do find things like washing my hands or if my hands are warm causes issues as well.

    The TPU ones work absolutely fine problem solved.

    Also installed Nova Launcher to get rid of the fixed date on home screen and Google bar at bottom of all screens. Seems a real oversight that these are fixed.

    Date & Weather is displayed top left of home Screen & cannot be removed.
