These are dreadful trainers. They are not waterproof and the material the toes section is made of may last you 6 months if you are lucky.

Got a pair of these, they feel a little heavy to me but they are undeniably waterproof, I’ve run through a number of shallow streams and kept nice dry toes

I wouldn’t use them unless you need the waterproof, for obvious reasons they aren’t breathable so get toasty. (edited)

What are the obvious reasons they are not breathable?

I think they are more fashion than running now.

They are definitely not for fashion, they are absolutely hideous

These are walking shoes, no one runs in them anymore. Secondly, Gore-Tex is not for running. If water gets inside, there will be a problem.

I'll be running my 4th marathon in ultraboost in April, I'm sure I wont be alone . The elites/speed guys will be in carbon plated but these are fine for the 4 hour guys like me. If water gets inside that's more than a puddle that's been gone through ......

Do these run tight? no size 9, says 9.5 is recommended if i have wide feet (nike shoes) (edited)
    Sampleit's avatar
Go a half size up. Should be fine
  7. TLC3's avatar
ive run 3 marathons in ultraboost - these are not fast shoes as the cushioning and weight lend themselves to comfort and distance. Great for the intended purpose though . Hot !

    Bought a pair, thanks OP!

PS I used to run in my UBs all the time but stopped after I got blisters from rubbing on the arch. I've bough a half size down to see if this helps but wondered if anyone else gets the same problem. Only problem is will I get black toes from running long distances. I'ts only £60 inc delivery so if not I'll just use them as day shoes

I stopped running in my UB about 3 years. Same problem. I moved to Brooks Ghost, never looked back.

Still can't register on their website for some reason. Disabled ad block. Tried 5-10 times. Strange

Happened to me too. Seems I already had an account and the website is too crap to warn you that is the reason.

52214580-5R4w2.jpgMine arrived this morning, wearing them around the house now!

They're really comfortable, and the sole is exceptionally soft and supportive, I've had to leave the zip open as I've got wide feet, but they'll be perfect for commuting and walking the dog, especially for the price, thanks OP.

    52214720-ncc5I.jpgLove them! Female wearer. Ordered an 8 , in Nike I'm 7.5
They fit well, super comfy. Material is quite tight fitting around the toes so if you have chonky feet, they might not be for you.
Branding isn't too obnoxious in person, quite subtle . (edited)

Got mine silly fast, didnt even know they were on the way. They fit same as UB22s for me. A little bit awkward to get on but no trouble. Nice and bouncy. Not the best looking and Id never pay £100+ for them but this price? Bargain. Gonna rotate them with Pegasus Shields for those cold rainy days.

No uk 11 and don't want to see if I can squeeze into a 10

I’ve always found Ultra Boost true to size however many recommend sizing up slightly.

    Small size city!
Where are the 11s and 12s?
  22. zchari5's avatar
For running shoes generally I size up by 1 whole size compared to dress shoes. This gives me about half an inch space from the end of the shoe and my big toe but was getting bruised nails on only half a size up.

For these I only went half a size up and weirdly these have a couple of mm mor space than my normal ultraboosts which are half a size again larger. I think it's because the toe box material (and the rest of the shoe) isn't elastic so Adidas has purposely made the dimensions bigger. I think they've made the ankle opening bigger and you need to use the zipper to get in and out of the shoe for the same reason. It's a well made shoe and dirt cheap at £60 all in. I haven't run in them yet but should be fine for 5k and maybe even 13.1 miles. Above that and I'd be worried about bruising/ chaffing. I'm still v happy with the purchase.

So basically, I'd recommend size up 1/2 size compared to normal dress shoes and half a size down from running shoes

Arrived today - going straight back. Prepared to bite the bullet of the £10 return to get rid of them.

They just don't feel right somehow - I'm not even 100% convinced they're genuine. I've been using Ultraboost since they were released, including Goretex trail versions, and these are nothing like any of them. As mentioned, the toebox upper is paper thin and looks crumpled straight out of the box. This is going to get ripped the first time you hit something sharp. But the weirdest thing is the heel section - it's massive! Feels like wearing stacked shoes. They look kind of ridiculous, and they're heavy!

And the zip - what's that about? It doesn't release the top enough to get the shoes off so what's the point. And the laces - they don't tie but have a weird cinch buckle that doesn't work. It's mentioned this is for triathletes, but why would a triathlete worry about wet feet - they've just been swimming! Far better to have breathable fabric so your feet can dry out, not squelch around in water.

These have all the hallmarks of a Mike Ashley product - take a brand name and trash it.

Waayy too much Adidas stuff going through his stable at the moment, particularly Terrex. Let's hope they're not "doing a North Face" by bringing out a cheaper range that ultimately damaged the brand

Would have loved a pair but no sizes as usual

    Just bought 9.5, cheers!

It's a shame i already have 2 pairs of the normal ultra boost. The zip is for triatletes, This is the price i pay for them in Thailand
