Our price promise to you

We’re expecting energy rates to go down in April. If you do switch to our Price Promise tariff, we’ll automatically reduce your fixed prices so they’re lower than the Ofgem April price cap*.

And, if we bring out any better deals after that, you can switch to one of our other fixed tariffs for free. That’s our price promise to you.

If prices do go up, you’ll be protected from this for the length of your tariff.

New fixed tariff's for existing customers. Not sure If new customers can get this deal as well. Existing British Gas customers may find this useful.
I am also not sure if all existing customers will be offered this deal

If they are offering deals something must be coming.

Personally, the universe doesn't have the space for me to get far enough away from British Gas to be comfortable.

Just fixed with Octopus at 13% below todays price.
If it drops in April I’m still ahead.
If it drops again in August I can switch again as no exit fees.

Can you get the unit rates you fixed with Octopus please ?

I looked at this and decided to wait and see what the new energy cap will be. With the price promise British Gas will only reduce your cap for April - they won’t reduce price if cap is reduced again in July as predicted.

I presume you've disregarded Octopus Tracker? 16p/kWh,3.65 gas today. If rates are due to fall over the coming months, Tracker should also fall automatically.

I am not sure why there is a noticable difference in the standing charge between suppliers ?????
