Been around for donkeys years and I've never heard of anyone getting a shock from one. Could happen I suppose, but for Joe Public it's probably better to use this than nothing.

I don't think anyone is saying the shock comes from the pen itself. The shock comes when it stops functioning and the user trusts the circuit is dead.

No voting either way. I've got so many of these lying about from kits over the years. I'm an electrician and I think I only ever used them once when I was training just to see it work. Probably quite handy for some people as a small driver though.
