NOTE: It will ask you to verify £7.99 with your bank. This will NOT be the charge if you have the offer. It will change to 99p post verification. Just confirms your card to the account.

Worked for me. Now back with Audible again for a few months lol. Don't forget Borrowbox and Libby offer lots of free audiobooks including many of the latest best sellers. You just need a normal library membership number. I guess for Audible that 99p or £3.99 or whatever is some income rather than none.
I try to use my Audible credits and the Plus catalogue on books that Borrowbox and Libby don't have. But they have loads and tbh you don't need to spend a penny on these things!

Libby is great, just finished The Maid, and The Wager is on the go now, loads of free audiobooks

Awesome. Was close to signing up on the 3.99 per month for 3 months

That offer is renewable if you contact them. I've had it for about 7 years (edited)

    Two great apps,

LIBBY, download and link you library card, huge amount of magazines, books and audiobooks free. Only downside is there is sometimes a queue and a restricted length you can hold before you reborrow, but solid app with huge content.

PRESSREADER app, again go into the settings and just link your library card and the free content is staggering, no need to return or length restrictions.

Pressreader is better for newspapers, over Libby, both great for magazines. Was looking for the New Yorker and national geographic for example, and if not on one they were on the other.

No found a magazine or newspaper that i know about or wanted that not been available on day of publication.

Also, if you dont have a library card, my other half created one online in under 10 minutes.

Outstanding free (tax payer funded i assume) resource.

    (Some libraries may use borrowbox)

I have used these but don't see many audiobooks on Libby or pressreader. I assume it is linked to what subscription your library has.

Borrowbox has far more available and I use this extensively but unfortunately they don't have everything I want. So I wait for offers like this and then grab them on audible

Cancelled 2 accounts I had @3.99(gifted a book to main account)Offered free credit on these which I took before cancelling.
Then took this deal on 2 other accounts.
    8 books for 1.98!

Does anyone else say 99p then when you get to the payment it goes to 7.99?
    97browng's avatar
I had this and it asked bank to verify at £7.99. I continued anyway (after taking a screenshot of offer) and it went through and only took 99p. I assume you have to approve at £7.99 as that would be the ongoing cost but it only changes the 99p this time

I’ve just took the 99p title and cancel anyway
    gooneroz47's avatar
But you would get two more free if you stay.....

Just had TCB track at £5.95
    Muig1972's avatar
Ha, that's brilliant ta- I went for the TCB too, hopefully it'll pay out! Says 8 weeks.

For those wondering, I clicked on the banner - where it indicated 99p, however, when it came to the payment stage, it displayed "£7.99/month" and said click to verify to complete the process.

I started a chat, and the people at Amazon said that this is just how the subscription is set up. So I continued on, and can confirm after completing the order, it was 99p. (That's 3 credits for 99p)

    Happy days!

I clicked cancel and screwed the whole thing up. On chat now. 7 credits appeared in my account too, so won't complain.

can i cancel straight after subbing and i'll get the 3 month offer?
    ibblackberry1's avatar
No, wait till after your third credit

Me too. Been waiting to listen to 'Toast on Toast '

I have a substantial backlog of audiobooks from taking out these offers on my various accounts. They always offer you an extra credit when you cancel in the final month, and they frequently have 2-for-1 sales which I take advantage of.

...should I add to my unwieldy backlog by taking out this offer, or try to work my way through more of my existing collection? Hmmm...
    _Jon_'s avatar
I tend to sign up for the offers and listen to the plus catalogue until the offer period expires whilst using the credits to build up my collection and then cancel the subscription. That way, I can save the purchased books up to listen to whilst waiting for the next offer.

p.s. does anyone find that when adding a comment here using an iPad, it takes you to the end of your comment every time you try and make a change somewhere in the middle of your post? (edited)

I’ve done this but on my Amazon account it says I will be charged £7.99 on the 14th of April for Audible?
    duke's avatar
It says that but you will get discounted(free) price.
Does that with the half price offers.

I clicked the link, it showed 7.99, clicked through anyway following the advice of people on here saying it would change to 99p.
    Got charged 7.99. 🤷‍♂️
Did a quick webchat with customer service and got given a refund of the 7.99 and a free 3 months so happy about that
  18. NeverBagHolding's avatar
Thanks, already had 3 free audiobooks last month by signing up to a free trial, got 2 initially because of prime then when I went to cancel they offered me an additional book.

Now I made a new Amazon account for these 3 for 99p, amazing.
