If you're a PC gamer and haven't played the Portal series you're really missing out.
Once you have Portal 2, there are a few full games based on the same portal universe that are then free to own.

    Portal Reloaded
    Portal Revolution
    Portal Stories: Mel

If you have a fancy graphics card you then have access to:
    Portal with RTX
    Portal: Prelude RTX

and if you have a VR headset, you can play it in VR with:
    Portal Stories: VR

Of course if you only want to play Portal 2 for it's puzzles, it has Steam workshop support with 1000s of new puzzles to solve.

And finally, if you have the portal series already and the content above, you'll probably need to play The Talos Principle. While not a portal game, and honestly there isn't much in the way of portals, it does have robots, makes you think, and makes you ponder the meaning of life, who you are and if you've actually glitched the game.

Final Fantasy XV is at a historical low, £9.99, cheaper than the key resellers/ grey market, next best price is £11.43.

Apart from Sekiro; Against The Storm, Battle Brothers, Ixion, Lies Of P, Crusader Kings 3, Dune: Spice Wars, Dorfromantik, Suzerain, Aliens: Dark Descent, Anno1800, Gear Tactics, Signalis, Frostpunk and Last Train Home would be some Spring Sale games at the top of my recommend list.

Titanfall 2, if you've not tried it yet. No excuses.

Works great on Steam Deck and ROG Ally too.

For anyone thinking of Total War Warhammer III you can pick up the trilogy for cheaper on cdkeys.

My first Steam sale and I’m overwhelmed

Most of the sale prices aren't the cheapest prices available online, but via Steam you can refund a game if you have under 2 hours gameplay. If you're unsure where to start, see if any of your wishlist games are on sale and only buy what you'll play. When you have a big backlog the game could be cheaper by the time you play it

Bought few games but really struggling with steam 😔 twi point game couldn't do basic control, also bought metro SIM couldn't even move. Hopefully will adopt using deck properly

If you're playing these on steam deck (think you are?) use protondb (google it + name of the game). Each game has an entry under steam deck section, and people advise how to navigate issues or what control scheme to use. Way better at telling you how something will work vs steam.

Digital sales are really lame these days, they're not dropping the prices like they used to.

I think thats the idea, attract the majority to digital then prices start to hold or go up. Following same patter as uber, netlfix etc. methodology. Get people used to it first and attract with rediculous pricing.

stick to 90% off or never rule and you will be happy

    Helldivers 2 cheaper on cdkeys

Holy heck, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge finally got a discount!! I've been waiting for that to happen since 2017!

EDIT: Ah, I see it had some discounts early on, but it's flatlined since 2018!

Could also fill an SD card and use it for 15 minutes before the ally breaks it 😃

Some really underwhelming ‘deals’ up there. In fact I wouldn’t have known that there was a sale on based on the prices posted! I miss the days where I could get a basket full of really top quality games for the same price as one of these ‘deals’. Most of them aren’t worth their deal price when new, let alone their pre-sale price.

Sekiro and Cyberpunk 2077 have been £24.99 in every sale for the last few years.

Just noticed Warhammer 40k Space Marines is on sale at £8. This is a pretty old game but has been ramped up in price with the sequel coming out this year and hard to find at other sellers so I’ll be picking this up.

Use something like allkeyshop to see if cheaper on cdkeys, instant gaming etc

After 2000+ games on steam only, I can't believe I used to pay for digital content.

Do you just play your 2000 strong back log now? (edited)

DIRT rally 2.0 for £4.49 for the base edition is a good price.
Can't see many bargains on my wishlist but prices closer to keyshops so may buy a few games to try out on the Deck.

Ah, those days of Steam Sales where I'd buy games that I've never even downloaded, let alone installed. I dread to think how much I've spent for nowt!

I have over 2000 games on Steam, and I have played less than 1% of them.
Time to go shopping for more things I don’t have, need or want..
    Peace

I swear, Steam are becoming the DFS of digital sales.

Pretty much all the games on "sale" have been vastly cheaper at some point in the last couple of years.

Picked up Red Dead 2 and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Just two left on my wish list for now, Teardown and Salt and Sacrifice

If you already own L4D, L4D2 and CS2 is there anything in the Valve Complete Bundle worth having that makes it worth £8.33 over getting the orange box for 83p?

Halls of Torment for £3ish is brilliant on steam deck. Reviews state its better than vampire survivors, so far I'd somewhat agree (it has a few updates on the vampire survivors formula - items that you equip ala diablo and can keep hold of)

Also rollercoaster tycoon classic (1 and 2 added together) for around £5 which works well on the deck.

Older final fantasy titles are quite cheap - 7 is £4 and you can mod it with HD graphics if you want. Works offline too. (edited)
