I’ve got one of these. I love ninja products. But dont expect anything you put in there to look like the image. It’s more of a blitzer than a chopper. 0.5seconds worth of spinning completely blitzes peppers and mushrooms.

Still very powerful and great if you make cheesecakes and need the biscuits blitzed!

Des the pulse feature not work?

Had mine for years and it's still going strong. Only negative is cleaning the under side of the motor attachment.
Hopefully they've changed the design since I bought it though

Why is the power cable hidden in all of the pictures?

So that you can't see it.

On the advert, it does say: "Super-sharp blades save you time and effort, preparing veg, herbs and spices in seconds."

    What was discounted price ?

Surely by the time you have peeled and prepared everything ready to put inside here you’re better off just using the same knife and saving yourself the time and hassle of cleaning it out. Unless you want blended mushy onions, garlic, veg etc. (edited)
    nerd187's avatar
If you pulse and don't go nuts on the trigger you get good results with mushyness

£25.97 at Amazon now, how do you get the cheaper price from Ninja direct? Just been on their site and it is £29.99

Hi, I have a question for those who already have it. Does it chop, puree small amounts of whatever you out in it. Like you want to make a small amount of chutney?
    fast_and_curious's avatar
Depends when you say small amount. I have this, but don't use it for making chutney. Sometimes, it will coarsely chop. I use duronics/Philips grinder
  23. masif1's avatar
    Are choppers similar to grinders?

    What was it before?
  25. ThumbsUp's avatar
I’m hoping to get a small gadget that I can use to make chutneys/sauces.

Has anybody tried blitzing Green chillies in this? Does it blitz the chilli seeds to a fine chutney/sauce consistency? Previous gadgets I’ve used leave big pieces and whole seeds.
    NickelQwerty's avatar
I have this it's very good,

It can definatly make purees and jams

If you are going to just put 5-10 chilli's in it, it may have evidence of the seeds

To get this chopper to make things viscous you need to add a bit of water/oil in my experience
  26. dice2dice's avatar
I've had one of these for around three years now and it is fantastic. It's powerful, easy to clean and because it's so good I haven't touched my much larger food processor in well over a year.

Can it be used to chop hard nuts? My mum's after one that can make soya milk
  27. Josu's avatar
Do I need a chopper if a have a ninja blender?)
  28. rasdonny's avatar
    perfect for small kitchens

Personally I went with the OXO manual (slap chopper) and have been extremely happy with it - picked it up for about £17. I have a back injury which makes standing and cutting things immensely painful, using that is about the edge of my abilities for a couple of onions or so. It's really easy to clean too - I was going to go an electric unit but cleaning concerned me and I had read most chopped things up too finely.

Is this good for smoothies or should I consider a nutribullet instead for an easier to clean device?
  32. azl's avatar
Only annoying thing is extra stuff to clean!
  33. bluegrass's avatar
Can anyone recommend a good proper puree maker?

Going to use it for garlic/ginger and oinions.

    Good for mincing meat?
  36. 07713756's avatar
I have a ninja food processor bigger one, and it needs lots to liquid to blend. Is this good to make think nut spreads, sauces, and chutneys without adding too much liquid or any alternative in a similar price?
  37. PhillyMontana's avatar
Will it chop red cabbage evenly?
  38. VJ1's avatar

Mine was due for delivery 18th April but arrived today, tested it out and personally really impressed with the unit. Few pulses and it chops quite coarsely if that's what you require but blend and it literally Will blitz to the required texture.

Can anyone compare this with the Lidl one that was recently on sale?
