I appreciate what they were trying to do by making it easy to plug and play, but given how the price has remained high on these cards, and how cheap standard NVME drives have become, this ended up being a bad idea. You can get a 2TB drive that is compatible with PS5 for like £50-60 nowadays, compared to over £100 for 1TB on these cards, it's a very tough sell (edited)

2TB internal drive for a PS5 for £50? Can you post it please, I'd like to buy one for that price.

This isn't an external drive, it's an expansion for the internal, and works in the same way..

I feel sure they'd sell more dlc if these were cheaper. Trying to work around it wipes out the time saving advantages of features like quick resume.

Needs to be around £80 before i'll bite, best deal yet, so heat for the find. Thanks. (edited)

This aspect of the Xbox has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

The method of expanding memory is borne out of greed. Sony did it best, here is the spec you need to meet or exceed to expand the storage of your internal memory. Make sure you adhere to it. Simple.

I have one of these, it's a gamechanger. No longer struggle for space, and it was simply plug and play. Benchmarks much faster than the Seagate too, FYI.

It is technically a deal. Having worked around the 1TB storage for so long already I will carry on doing so. Had it been more reasonably priced I would have bought another 1TB. With rumours of a new XBox console by the end of the year I will just hold my money for that, I hope it’s 2TB as standard.

Leak says it should be. But will see when it comes out. Maybe June/July.

Heated. Will I be able to use a Revolut card and will this save me money? Sorry I’m new to this and have just got this card….

Couldn’t be arsed because I need the physical card (which I’ve lost) to add to Amazon payments so I did it on UK card about £108.
    Cheers Op (edited)
