One of the most profitable horror movies ever made, this tale of an exorcism is based loosely on actual events. When young Regan (Linda Blair) starts acting odd -- levitating, speaking in tongues -- her worried mother (Ellen Burstyn) seeks medical help, only to hit a dead end. A local priest (Jason Miller), however, thinks the girl may be seized by the devil. The priest makes a request to perform an exorcism, and the church sends in an expert (Max von Sydow) to help with the difficult job.

Still scary and disturbing. It never looses it's impact. I've got this and yes it's good. Fans may like the changeling with George c Scott. It's on 4k

I watched the changeling the other day but found the ending a bit confusing but a very good horror film otherwise. (edited)

I would love to watch this film again but i just think it is too frightening for me. Heat added.

I'm a big fan of the Exorcist but I find Amityville 2 scarier.

1982? I've just had a quick Google and don't think I've seen that! Seen the first one and The Exorcist loads of times, was lucky enough to see it last year the remastered version which looked stunning for its age

NOT the scariest, in fact NOT scary at all. My perosnal opinion is the scariest film ever, is THE HAUNTING - a British film - the original B & W version, not the crap US re-make

Why don’t you think the exorcist isn’t scary? I first saw it as a teenager and it really disturbed me.
