BEWARE: Returns are to Denmark and when I tried to refund for a faulty headset they refused to give the information required to get it through Danish customs. I filed a section 75 with my bank who have sided with me and given me a full refund. I really don't like steelseries as a company.

Good connectivity but sound quality is typical for Steelseries, not inspiring. If you just playing games it's fine but for music and content it's just not good enough.

I got the arctis pro wireless as a replacement for my turtle beach when the headband snapped on the hinge. The steelseries mic was truly awful on the ps5 so much that I returned them the next day and found some 3d printer parts to fix my old headset for £25 lol

Nice price. £270 on Amazon atm.

Just upgraded my 5yr old Astro A50 gen 3's to gen 4 for £175 (Amazon).

These were on the shortlist tho. (edited)

Really good headphones as use them all the time. Also have previous version and solid too. Never had issues with hinges but I’ve been super careful with them knowing this is a potential weak point. Battery life is epic and out of the box sound great. I can hear folks creeping around in games and get good directional heads up….can tune this further with EQ. Took a little while to adjust so I don’t notice the in ear mic thingy touching my ear but non issue now. Bit warmer in summer than previous version but overall much lighter and less bulky. (edited)

How are these vs the new pulse headsets?

Got this a couple of weeks ago.

Just a heads up on PC.
I install the software and have things on default,
And in Valorant, everything sounds like you’re in goldfish bowl, and can’t hear the direction of the sounds.
I needed to turn off sidetone, volume “gain” off and also set the spatial distance to closer.
So you will have to mess around the settings

Best gaming headset I’ve ever used, sound quality amazing for gaming, not had a single connection issue with them and battery life is superb

    Highly recommend (edited)

I've currently got some JBL Quantum 810 which seem quite good although build quality maybe not amazing. How do these compare?

Looking at a tech spec, the Quantum 810 look better with higher frequency range and 10mm bigger sound drivers at 50mm vs 40mm.

Is there something else i need to be comparing to work out if this is an upgrade?

Battery, charge time etc all seem same.

    I only do PC gaming.

These are not worth the money imho.

Nice sound, but the multi channel functionality is misleading. Also, Bluetooth connectivity is via the hub/switcher, so distance from that hub is likely to be a limiting factor.

An additional point is that the retractable mic stem is short. If you're bearded, then people will either have to put up with the noise of it rubbing, or struggle to hear you.
