Had this for a short time a couple of years ago. Definitely worth £200. But be warned that the HDR is shocking, better to just pretend it doesn't have it to avoid dissapointment. Also the display can be bit pixelated being 27" and only 1440p and not 4K. I paid about £400 originally though I think, I think it's a good buy for the price here.

Yeah I think it's the same LG panel as on my AOC, tuned the HDR off it's not even a feature makes everything look washed, but TBF it's really vibrant and actually pretty amazing with the brightness tuned up (via game mode)

Is this monitor any good for video editing of content made in 4k? I know this one is 2k screen. I worry more about colours sRGB
    Alex_H's avatar
If colour accuracy is a major concern for you, then no it's not a good choice. It makes no mention of it's SRGB accuracy so it's likely not very high.

not a bad price for a benq although no hdmi 2.1 and 230 nits could be low for some.
    Dj_Yoda's avatar
No point in hdmi 2.1 it's only a 1440p panel

Good deal. I've used BenQ for about 15 years, great quality.

have this it's a bargain at this price, PC and PS5 connected up, surprisingly good speakers

Isn't it a bit of a waste having a PS5 connecting to anything that doesn't have HDMI 2.1?

Title should probably include QHD or 2560x1440 or 1440p. Given we round 3840x2160 up to 4k but don't round 1920x1080 (FHD) up to 2k (I mean, why???), describing QHD as 2k is meaningless / misleading - particularly given its 80% + more pixels than FHD.

But far be it from me to rant about the self serving nature of the monitor manufactures and their inability to provide a decent, sensibly priced retina/double res/5K version of QHD.

Definitely a good deal though! Voted HOT!

2k isn't meaningless, everyone know exactly what you mean when you say that.

Seems like a great price thanks

I have a similar spec monitor, its 2k 165 hz dell with HDR 400, I would would like to add a 2nd screen to my set up, this has a much higher mark up at full price than the dell model I have, will it be much better?
    Alex_H's avatar
I wouldn't say so no. Differences will be subtle.

That's VA and lower pixel density, this one is IPS. I'd personally prefer this one.

How this one compares to Msi g272qpf

Similar to the Dell S2721DGF I bought about 4 years ago for approximately £400 so I would say this seems like a good buy for anyone looking for one. I would double-check some in-depth monitor reviews for things like latency, contrast ratio, colour gamut etc... although I doubt you'll find much better for cheaper if anything at all. For anyone who is looking for a HDR monitor anything that is HDR 400 is pointless. True HDR is only for TVs like an LG C3 or on of the newer Sony/Samsung models. I am sure some more expensive monitors rated with HDR1000+ might be able to give a mid-level experience depending on how many dimming zones it has etc... You might even be happy with this but for a True HDR experience you will definitely want a higher certification.

Any benefits of this over a FHD monitor when hooked up to a PS4? Obviously it would be future proofed but would a PS4 look same/better/worse on a 1440 screen?
    TayAzza's avatar
The PS4 is limited to 1080p 60hz I believe so it won't be able to take advantage of this TV but it certainly won't look any worse and like you say its future proof. Not much point having 4k on a 27 inch monitor anyway because you only really notice it on bigger screens

I have the exactly monitor and I really recommend it, very bright when you need and very dark when you need, the speakers are loud enough to don’t need any other speakers on your desk, have 2 hdmi so I can swap easily from PC to PS5, you also have 2 usb and a audio jack for when you need headphones. I have paid a lot more than that and I’m very happy with it, it deserves every single pence. Highly recommended.

    Can these by daisy chained?

A 27” 144hz 1440p monitor about 7 years ago cost 400-500. Nice to see prices have come down.

Bit of a worrying caveat in the item description.

Great price, but am not sure if I want a 27" monitor. I use a 24" now and it's mostly for office work and browsing, with a bit of gaming. Will I find this size too "in yer face" - or is it just right?
