Better deal available from screwfix for £14.95. The electrical screwdriver tester is really useful.

You can't compare a Kewtech piece of test equipment with that of some cheap nasty LAP 'test equipment'
The Kewtech is a professional piece of gear that will almost certainly perform more sophisticated and reliable tests, it also appears from the front of it to perform and detect more faults than the LAP one does.

Electricians & electronic engineers use Kewtech test equipment, it's professional grade!

Where did you see that? I checked their leaflet but couldn’t find anything.

Will it test the current in each socket aswell. I have double sockets and one socket charges phone slower than the other socket.

It tests for the problems shown on the front and you plug it in and the lights come up to show you any issues. It will not check current and voltage.

I found a socket in my kitchen which had the neutral wire lose.

Simple to use bit of kit.

I have similar. Cost me £5. Picked up earthing issues on plugs soon as I used it. Great bit of kit.

If the system was properly installed in the first place yes, but with old homes it’s not a bad idea to check before you do any work.

These are handy when viewing (especially older) properties to give you at least a basic idea of the likely state of the electrics. Or for parents worried about their child's safety in rental property etc

Kewtech Loopcheck 107 will do a much better check if you are worried about your wiring. Just as easy to use. Obviously costs more though.

Heat and ordered. We have one bedroom where power lines just won't work. They work fine on other sockets on same ring main. Been meaning to check the sockets for a while. Seeing this has spurred me on. Thx.

These are very useful and helped me to identify that we had reverse polarity throughout our property (dangerous) due to a mistake which had been made when our electricity provider came to swap our old mechanical electricity meter for a digital one. They had connected the cables/tails to the new meter in the wrong order.
