    Careful with these - the maximum current is only 10 amp, rather than the more usual 13 amp.

    Perfectly safe for most purposes, but not for anything more than 2.4 kW.

    Interestingly enough, the drum illustration on the company's website shows 13A - whilst the description states 10A and it's very coy when it comes to the conductor CSA.

    It has a thermal cutout in the reel, because that reel can get VERY hot, if run at more than a few amps with the cable wound on.

    It probably has a 13A fuse and would almost certainly be fine, unwound, at that current, for intermittent operation. The voltage drop along the cable would take the output out of specification for some things, but not that many 3kW loads are that fussy. Using it to boil a kettle would be fine.

    So, I would suggest a slight change, "not for anything over 2.4kW for a prolonged period". Say no more than 10 minutes in any hour.
