Which recommmended. I bought this model when my old cheap one died last year and I’ve been very happy with it. Slightly cheaper now than what I paid.

    I bought this for >60.
Used for soups, sauces, smoothies. The blender just manages to fit into a standard protein shaker.
Although I haven't used the additional attachments, I would highly recommend based on the blender attachment itself.
At this price, basically half price, it's a steal.

if you order direct from Bosch and use discount code "GB-FOODIE20" - works out to be £31.99!

And you can buy via TCB to bring it a bit lower to ~£30. Plus it is in stock and free delivery.

Lidl equivalent, but still a powerful 600w at £19.99 with a 3yr warranty. Should still be available.

We nearly bought one of the Bosch ones but ended up going with Braun, the problem is...

Looking after the MC6CA4150G is as easy as using it, with easily detachable components, which are all dishwasher safe.

...this bit is actually a lie. If you look at the instruction manuals, it's quite clear that not only must you not put the lids of the chopper etc in a dishwasher, you mustn't even put them under running water. You can only wipe those clean.

If you read the reviews, you'll find people who have washed the lids end up finding the lubricant leaks out into the food.

This seems to be the case with all of the Bosch ones, even the posh expensive ones. I assumed that might be the same for all manufacturers, but e.g. the Braun ones say it's okay to clean the lids under running water.

That's the case also with Tefal chopper attachment, if water gets in the lid it just wrecks it and starts making a terrible noise, such a stupid design choice

Is it worth getting the 3 year insurance on these for£9.99
    peterdenhaan's avatar
There's a 2 year manufacturer's guarantee on this. What do you think is the chance that the thing will break in that 3rd year, or that it will break in a way that's not covered by the guarantee but is covered by the insurance?

Whatever that chance is, I doubt it's anywhere near 25% (£9.99/£40).

That insurance must be a highly profitable money spinner for Amazon and the insurer. I do not think it's even remotely worth it.

We have this. Very good and good attachments. Our only issue is that the blender attachment, the white bit that clicks into the handle and not the blade bit, sometimes it holds water inside after it's been washed and can't completely get the water out. Not sure if that's normal behaviour or ours is just faulty but unfortunately we only started using it well after the return period due to a hoise move so just kept it

We found exactly the same issue with this that you did.

No, mains powered, although looking at the picture I can see why you could think that!
