    Thanks OP.
Can someone who used this and cheap brands comment on how they differ? Is sonicare really the best?
Also can off brands tip brushes be used ?
    Thanks

Having used a sonicare 9000 for 5 years, I’ve just gone and bought an Oral B IO… I wouldn’t go back to a sonicare again.

We've used these for years and our hygienist recommends the sonicares. The only cheap one I've used was one we bought in Shanghai cos someone forgot our normal one. It wasnt good but only cost about £7! We both use the same handle and usually get about two years out of them. I often get cheaper brush heads - the most recent from Aldi were very good. You'll never go back once you've used a sonic. (edited)

They're meant to fail, it's planned obsolescence. Usually, the rubber seal breaks if you clean them too strenuously. If it fails within two years they'll send you a replacement no fuss so it's in your interest if that happens. I've had many many free replacements over the years, actually many of which provided by the Philips service centres when I lived in Shanghai (coincidentally). They will still honour the warranty regardless of which country you're living in it seems.

The 3000 series only vibrates at half the speed of the 4000 series upwards

The 4000 is known as the ‘Bladerunner Roy handle’,  as it burns twice as fast, but only lasts half as long as the 3000…. I’ll get me coat…. 🍺

Another noob question. So this comes from France and there are no other fees? E.g you don’t pay input tax?
    ws007's avatar
    "input tax" you mean customs,

no, the goods have to be £135 and over to have a customs charge.

What's with the usb charging and not a shaver point type plug?
    ekko.star's avatar
