Whats your opinion guys here about snapdragon vs. mediatek chipsets ? What would be everyones first choice bettween the two if you buy a new flagshipi smartphones! Midrange pricepoint ? Answers and replies will be helpful? Thank you.💯 ✅✅

On the flagship level, I'd honestly choose the current dimensity 9300 over the snapdragon 8g3, it's a less weird core configuration.

midrange it's easier to get a phone with a snapdragon 7g2 or g3 because mediatek's lineup is a tad random right now and the gpu at that level is more powerful on the qualcomm side.

Budget it's back to mediatek with the Helio G99 if looking outside of Samsung (the Exynos chips aren't bad in the current A25)

This conversation ignores other factors like cameras, screen quality and such though, also fluctuating prices make comparison a bit harder.

I got this phone on a previous deal just under 2 1/2 years ago for £115 i think from this site.

It's been a great phone. Would any other newer models be cheaper?

It was a bargain at the time.

must have been a misprice, this is a a solid mid range handset that has never been that cheap.
I don't remember the launch price but the Xiaomi 't's are usually oscillating around £300-400

I'm still having it after over 2 years, once on warranty otherwise still going strong, unbelievable how well built it is and how much it can take. Very hot I would buy it again

How we comparing this to s20 fe? The fast charging interests me. Bit also need a decent camera.

My battery is so bad on my s20 fe and nit fast enough charge to keep me going all day
    7777777's avatar
camera is decent but not as good as on s20fe unless you are comfortable editing every photo (coming from Samsung you would be missing the oversharpened and oversaturated results), it's just different esthetics ( Xiaomi's photos are more natural)
