Looking for an inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board that’s as comfortable on the waves as it is on a lake or river? The DJ Sports is a great all-rounder.

It has a surf-inspired longboard shape to handle mid-size waves but with less curvature than a rocker board to easily glide on flatter waters.

The inflatable SUP comes with all of the kit you need to carry it, inflate it and hit the open water, including a deluxe backpack, manual inflation pump and adjustable extra lomg aluminium oar.

As a complete package, it’s perfect if you’re looking to purchase your first paddleboard with Durable Construction

For unparalleled strength and durability, the DJ Sports SUP has a high-density double-wall construction.

Premium marine grade material that can withstand extreme nautical conditions, including exposure to petroleum products and ultra-violet rays. The hardwearing material is used on the surface of the SUP to protect it from wear and tear whilst you’re paddle boarding.

When inflated, it can support a considerable weight of 100kg. When deflated, it is lightweight and portable to easily carry.

3 Modelled Fins: These help to provide directional stability so that it’s easier to navigate your way through the water. The fins also help you to move faster through the waves. They have a flexible design which is more resistant to heavy knocks against rocks and other obstacles.

Elastic Cord For Storage: Elastic bungee cords at the front of the SUP allow you to easily carry a repair kit, camera, food and other provisions when you’re paddle boarding. Be sure to check that the equipment doesn’t push the weight capacity over the 100kg limit.

Non-Slip Traction Pad: If you’re new to paddle boarding, one of the hardest things to get to grips with is standing up. The non-slip traction pad on the surface of the SUP provides superior grip so that it’s easier to hold your balance when you’re standing up and paddle boarding.

Convenient Deck Handle: Pulling the SUP out of the water isn’t easy. It measures over 9’ long, weighs over 15kg and can be very slippery when it’s wet. A pre-fixed deck handle allows you to drag it in and out of the water with greater ease. It also helps you to pick up and carry it.

The SUP includes DJ Sports Pump with Pressure Gauge to easily inflate it to the correct volume without the risk of over-inflation.

An adjustable Aluminium Oar (178cm – 220cm) is also included along with a Deluxe Backpack to conveniently carry the SUP to your destination.

Would be fine for very casual use by children/young teens. Good price if it's just for some fun with the kids. Definitely avoid otherwise.

Been paddle boarding for years and would say avoid these like the plague. Fine for kids but no good for adults. I know a few people that have regretted getting these.

Need 6 inch thick for adults . This will be slightly underwater if over 70kg.

No, but yes. You don't need a 6 inch board for adults. 4.7" is also common and also fine, depending on overall volume. My entry level board was a 4.7" and was fine with around 90-100kg of weight (me and two kids.)

My 12'6 Starboard touring (a £900 board) is 4.7" thick.

The difference is volume. My entry level 10' was 32 inches wide. My Starboard is 12'6 x 28", so again - far more volume (admittedly, it's nowhere near as stable as the entry board unsurprisingly.)

So the depth of the board shouldn't be a deal breaker. That said, the volume is pretty low and given that width has the greatest impact on stability I'd say 28" is too narrow for an entry level board for adults. 32 is where I'd be looking (and with sufficient volume for the riders weight.) I wouldn't mind a go at paddle boarding nearly bought the 6 inch mistral board from lidl recently but decided to hold off as i think id much prefer an inflatable kayak.
Looking at it as someone with no experience in either, paddle boarding seems fun but inefficient and most time spent balancing and paddling slow where as kayak will be more stable, easier on the back and faster, wgats the reason you pick paddle boarding over kayaking for anyone who already owns one ?
Is it just to get the different experience of standing and gliding over the water ? (edited)

Paddleboard about the same speed as a kayak once you've got the hang of it, can get a fair pace going.
Paddleboard with kayak seat isn't a bad compromise though, summertime nice to sit down and take it easy especially if in rough water.

Okay for a child or small adult, too narrow and too thin for an adult, will be unstable and very low in the water.
