I keep looking at sit on top kayaks for fishing. What are the pros and cons of these with the seat, vs a solid plastic sit on top? Are these less stable?

Fwiw my friend has this and the sea has corroded the dog lead style clips that attach the seat to the SUP afterb just 3 uses.Bluefin can't help. The SUP is still working well though.

Decent enough board but because its old glue technology its very heavy about 30% more than heat sealed boards and people i spoke to wanted to upgrade to a lighter board. Good warranty and support I believe. I think for the price you could get a better made board that was lighter such as this costco.co.uk/Spo…322 (edited)

Bullet proof board. Yes it's heavy, I ended up getting some kayak wheels.
I can Sup with me, my 12 year old, 10 year old, 6 year old and 5 year old on the same board!
It's the Volvo estate of paddle boards. You won't get anywhere fast but there's room for everyone and you'll be safe.

Yep I completely agree.. had a couple of windy days on the beach a couple of weeks ago and carrying it to the water was really hard work. That said it's mega stable and if you're a relative beginner like me and get bored of falling in the kayak seat works really well and is a nice change of pace. One thing I found was I would catch my legs/torso on the D rings when trying to get back on from the side which kinda smarts. Overall though it's good quality and very stable. (edited)

That would explain why a lot of companies dont have the d rings for a kayak seat, was wondering why it wasnt standard

There any other boards worth looking at around the £300-400 price mark?

I was checking out the Jobe but that's oos now.

This seems decent but it's for my wife and the weight may be an issue.

Also the photos of this are different than the Bluefin Cruise on the Bluefin website, so I'm a assuming this might be last year model of something? Not sure if there are any differences?

Answering my own question with a response I received from Bluefin...

"The item listed on our website is our 2023 SUP model and the one on Amazon is our previous design. The main feature of our 2023 range is the new colour varieties available to chose from.

Our 2023 Cruise SUPs weigh around 10% less than previous due to the materials used to design the SUP, making them easier to manoeuvre both on and off the water. Whilst weighing less they still maintain the same max user weight, 150kg for the Cruise 10'8. The main differences come in this SUP kit provided, the paddle now come with a Nylon blade, as oppose to fibreglass, making them a stronger, more robust paddle. The Manual pump now offers a deflation option, which has not been offered previously and comes with detachable handles, making it easier to store. We also believe the quality of the bag has been improved and now contains more storage areas for all of your accessories."
