sorted byIf Southampton is OK it's £36 return to LHR T5(+time)
Return LHR BA £189pp with bag 6:40 land 9:10 30th loads of backup flights.
Business £329pp 2 bags and lounges, handy if you like to hit the bar and eat at airports
Cheaper than easyjet from Luton or Gatwick
on arrival €7.50 bus transfer 10.03 to be at Ijmueden for 11:05am
There are quicker(45min via Amsterdam) routes if you want to pay a bit more ~€9.
return same options for the 22:15 flight (have a day in Amsterdam)
earlier flights are a bit more like £15-£45pp
I think we could keep the total(before tips) under £600pp £43pppd in the school holidays is still a bargain.
3rd person is not expensive for those with 1 kid.
Cheaper than any Norway options from Southampton
closest are
£745 7n on Iona (tips included)
£939 14n on Island princess
These are costs we get with UK based cruises anyway, we usually stay park Southampton.
Parking LHR
For an early flight a park/hotel package at £170 works for us
Other options are available
We like the Premier Inn T5(£75) if we can dump the car take the bus 423 from outside to T5 takes 5mins in the morning
Bus 81 from Purple parking if they have a deal.
From 29th Aug most options for LHR will be in the ULEZ so change of strategy for our travel car parking/hotel
Drive Harwich hook is the better ferry for some.
Handy when you live close to one of the regular departure ports
For some people Ijmuiden can be cheaper to get to than Southampton.
