Not that great of a deal imo.
A quick search for flights on the same date shows BA direct for £708 pp (may be cheaper on other dates I didn't bother looking) so you're paying nearly £2k for what is quite an average hotel.
Mauritius is a lovely island but I'd pay a bit more for somewhere better rated, especially if you're there for 2 weeks

1st AI hotel with a better rating is £2.8k during that time and it doesnt look great. The next better hotel is £3.8k after that. So not sure where youd get better rated for roughly the same?

Great price for a nice destination, but remember that it's the start of winter over there, so you'll get more sun, higher temperatures and less rain in many places in Europe, and it will probably be cheaper too.

think it rains more in the summer period cos of cyclones and that....... probably climate change dont help. Remember - it may rain on one part of the island but the other is bone dry..... or it rains for like 5 mins then dries up faster than you can say Mauritius.

Went there in July one time. Hotel just okay, weather not great at all. Occasional sun, but rain, grey skies and a very cool breeze a lot of the time. Certainly wouldn't return in our summer and I'd choose week a nicer hotel rather than two weeks there.

Just got back from Mauritius last week. 2 half days of rain in 2 weeks. Temperatures around 28 deg.

What part of the island were you? I hear NW is better sheltered from the worse part of the winter weather.
