Alanya is a LONG way from Antalya.

I recently went to stay in Alanya but flew to Antalya, we got private transfers for £50 each way and it took 1 hour 45 mins. We didn’t mind it so much as was air conditioned and really wanted to stay in a particular hotel in alanya. I would do it again!

Good price for a 5 star all inclusive package. Only thing is though, will the outdoor facilities (pools and slides) be open in April?
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
They'll be open, but unheated and freezing cold.
We did a Turkey all inclusive in April, all pools and waterparks were open, but nobody was using them.

yes, decent price if the dates suit, cheers

Great price but would be worth paying extra for private transfers. If you get a busy transfer shuttle it can take hours to get from Antalya to Alanya.

    Out of season no thanks

Weather is good, excursions cheap and loads of good value activities like massages etc.

I'd say April is absolutely fine unless you want to go into the pool or sea a lot.

Stayed in the Alanya area last October. Can't comment on the hotel but seems a good enough deal for two weeks. Be prepared for quite a long transfer from the airport though. And I'm definitely not a fan of Antalya Airport Departures, but that's neither here nor there as you're not there long.

Yeah, top tip for that airport is to bring your own food/snacks or eat before you get there are they massively take the mickey with prices in the departures lounge (and wifi charges).

Other than that Alanya is great and still incredible value for most things. I was there this April and paid £25pp for an entire day out rafting, buggy racing, zip lines, canyon hiking and lunch.

Great price but I'd check the TripAdvisor reviews. Seems cheap for a reason! 😝

Yep I've took a look at the reviews too. From the English / British folk that have visited, the reviews are generally pretty bad in terms of a number of key things . Main points being that you get treated less favourably for speaking English, smelly bathroom drains, poor drink selection and all abit chaotic in the hotel

Would imagine the temperature there would be excellent certainly plenty hot enough to get a good tan if you can stick it.Alanya with it's castle or what's left of it is certainly worth a visit and whilst there go to the shopping centre Alanium they used to have a piano on the ground floor within the coffee area.Careful of the prices around the harbour as they do have a tourist menu.Huge beach which goes on for miles.

Nice city Alanya I enjoyed it there

Be lucky to get a tan in April. The weather will range between 12 and 20 degree's. Certainly would need to be brave to use the pool
    Themadcow's avatar
I was there this April (9th onwards) and barring a couple of days it was a solid 19-24C and plenty of sunshine. Weather forecasts in the area tend to be on the low side compared to the reality.

The pool will be chilly though.

Also consider that this is bang in the middle of Ramadhan so there may not be much open during the day outside the resort if locals are fasting

    Too late I booked
