It was about 5 years ago, but picked up two of these from Homebase for £15 each in their sale.

Which month 5 years ago? Just to make it easier to set my time machine for.

Really decent. I use them outside to store tools.
They don’t advertise them as being weatherproof but they’re yet to let any water in after one full year outside.

I did think that they looked suitable and sturdier than keter storage, thanks for confirming.

Shame free delivery is on a £100+ spend unless there's a voucher available?

Sad they dont sell the lids separate as well, as some of mine has cracked maybe because they were in full sunlight.

My lid cracked but brother managed to fix it. Used special tape and glue, made it waterproof again .

I have couple in my garden. The have been totally waterproof for 3 years. Good bit of kit.

Anyone use these or something fairly air tight /big to store stuff in loft ?
    teh.arn's avatar
    They’re fine for that.
I use these to store things outside in all weather. (edited)

Cheers Chanchi, I took the plunge and bought some of the largest ones

Them being made in the UK of recycled plastic helped clinch it for me. (edited)

Unless they state the quantity of recycled material, it's a bit of a moot point. One old plastic bottle in the mix means they can say they use recycled material.

Bought 6 of the largest. Thanks

Is a "frunk " a trunk you've gotten angry with and sworn at? :/

    Ordered 6 x 175L = £103 delivered (only had dates week+).
The only complaint is that discount code started with IANAL (edited)

    I got this in B & M for £22

2 of which size for £22?

These are great and very weatherproof.

Actually use some of the 145l ones at local community garden to store water where we can’t fit a butt as too low. Can bow when full if lid not on but don’t leak.

Great items, I have 2 one has a load of my diving gear in the other we use as a dog bath and the lid currently has water in and pot plants stood in it due to the heat.

Thank you very much for posting. I've downsized and the garden shed is very flimsy and I have a lot of my late husband's tools I want to keep, I've been worrying about them rusting. Hopefully box will be dry and airtightish.
    PBNinja's avatar
I wouldn't say they're airtight but they are definitely sturdy and waterproof.

Nice item nearest store 16 miles away might have to take a trip to Argos instead

Got these last time they were on offer on here, decent, but one of them only had one yellow clip which is a bit of a pain, cba to go back to sort it truth be told but there you go, check!

Great storage . Use mine for wood for stove. Fill tub up from log store , wheel it near to the back door. Wood kept dry all winter. Worth the money . Brother even managed to fix a little crack in lid . Used a tape and special glue.

I got some of the smaller versions of these from PlasticBoxShop.co.uk earlier this week

    plasticboxshop.co.uk/hom…-c9

Might ship to you if homebase don't.

Good service from them, there was a couple of cracks from DPD literally tossing them on the ground out the back of the van (got it on video, dude didn't give a flying fuck). Plastic box shop quickly sent out replacements after I sent photos though.

Went and got 2 small ones earlier from Argos, wish I had saw this before Trying to order 6 to come by Friday but only letting have next day delivery on 5, as I have to pay shipping as it’s not £100 spend
