Putting out the fires
Lots of places are continuing as “takeaways” so to keep people in both work and the companies afloat. I dont know if tgi fridays are doing this though.
Can I quickly just talk about how big of a deal this is? TGI Friday's UK has never done this discount and in recent months, since we've had our new CEO, I've been telling people "No, we don't take NHS/Emergency services discount... BUT KEEP ASKING! We might do it in the future".
I'm so glad we're finally offering this discount to all those people that work so tirelessly for the NHS and Emergency Services who are literally saving peoples lives right now! Thank you all!
Way better than Frankie's. Good cocktails too
Contradictive all this
I think we will see them being used a lot more in the coming days. There’s a whole bunch of people put on standby waiting to assist with whatever the government decides next.
Just go in your firefighter uniform and see if that works instead
Can you not wear your uniform
It did in kfc for 10%
No, but these people always deserve a discount. Who knows when they will get called up to get shot at!
Go to your local TGIs, set it on fire and then ask if you put it out, will they accept you are a fireman/woman?
I'm sure they are at greater risk of contracting Covid-19 at work than their local very, very quiet TGI Fridays
Was that not for other reasons though
Are the Rothschild Family still around? Yes so there is still wars (edited)
Show them your wage slips if it has the name of the employer on it
Dear Fridays Guests,
As the safety and welfare of our guests and teams is our number one priority and following the recent UK government advice to practice social distancing, we have now made the decision to temporarily close all our restaurants from 9pm tomorrow evening. This decisive action is to protect our guests, our teams, our communities and our business.
Thanks to you for your continued loyal custom, we are a strong, healthy and growing business and look forward to opening our doors and welcoming you back to Fridays in the near future.
Our teams will be tirelessly working to close our restaurants down in a safe manner whilst complying with our internal COVID-19 contingency plan which includes increased control measures across the board. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our teams for their continued professional and hardworking approach. They have come together in extremely difficult circumstances in a way that makes us all tremendously proud to be a part of the Fridays family.
We will ensure that any stock we can safely distribute will be donated to support our local communities or shared amongst the team, and we will continue to look for ways in which we can help those in need.
We’ve been working hard on some exciting new developments for you, including new food and drinks menus and the return of some classic cocktails. Unfortunately, the launch will now have to be delayed, but we can’t wait to invite you to try it when we open our doors again. Myself and the entire team are going to bring Fridays back stronger than ever before.
Watch this space and take good care of yourselves.
Yours Aye

I've done it before
yeah in all the local supermarkets in the battle of the bogroll
If you don't have a fire service photo ID, how do you prove you are a firefighter.
I've popped in KFC after work b4 in my uniform and they have give me the discount before . I have had a photo taken for my ID card but it's never appeared. Should really chase it up.
More quiet when others boycott them because of discrimination. (edited)
...over the weekend down in Londres
Probably the wrong time to chase it up
Yeah I wont be getting it anytime soon
they do not get called up to be shot at, they join the forces as professionals and there job does involve risk which I am pretty sure is obvious to them when they join the forces
Yep, I’m sure that next time they are dispatched to get shot at they’ll quibble in the same way and say “It’s ok, I’m a professional and signed up for this. I most certainly did not get called up!”
Heat added though
TGI Friday
Closing at 9pm on Friday
Can anyone else see the irony in this?
