It's Pollock. Bargain at this price

Pollock is fine. Blind taste test, you couldn't tell the diff between it and cod.

Basa can burn in hell though. Vile dirt fish.

Seems a bit tricky to work out the actual fish they use.... My moneys on pollock or basa. Both are grim. Save your pennies for cod or haddock.

    Try reading the packet.

At 50p per fillet it's a good deal.

If you can afford extra, go for the cod, but the cheapest I see them is £4.50 for 4 fillets, so over twice as much and often more than that.

Had a friend who was a fishmonger and they recommended Pollock over cod over 35 years ago. IMO it's just as good and more affordable. These are a bargain.

Less packaging eh, does that mean they no longer rattle about in the box?

If it's 'fish' it's usually Pollock

Been this price a long time. Love farmfoods. Ive got 10 packs these in freezer at moment. Seriously strong mature cheese 500g is £2.99 too which is a good deal. Also rockstar original 12 cans x2 £6 which is a steal. Plenty of deals at farmfoods. Heron too is great for deals, also worth a look.
