This Holiday Inn Resort is really well placed for exploring Orlando. It's just a 10-minute drive from Walt Disney World Resort’s main entrance, so you’re close to all the theme parks. There’s a free shuttle bus each day that’ll save you driving, too.

Families are well catered for here, with a video games arcade and movies in the lobby. Outside, you’ll find a huge swimming pool edged by sky-high palm trees. On the dining and drinking front, there's an Applebee's restaurant, a breakfast buffet and a tiki bar.

Pools
Outside, there’s a lagoon-style pool on a terrace decked out with sunloungers. The splash pad is where kids can really let loose. Adults, meanwhile, can relax in one of two whirlpools. The onsite restaurant’s sidekick, Applebee’s Tiki Bar, is the place for drinks and snacks when you’re poolside.

Food & Drink
If you don’t fancy heading out to eat, the onsite Applebee’s is famous for its larger-than-life steaks and burgers. There are all sorts of other things on the menu, too, such as pasta, seafood and fresh salads.
Pinky's Market Place is open in the mornings for coffee, tea, pastries, bagels and sandwiches.

Entertainment
The hotel’s bar serves up a good choice of cocktails. You can have a drink al fresco on the terrace, too.
Disney Springs, with its shops, restaurants and nightspots, is just a 10-minute drive away.

Sports & Activities
In terms of spots, you can play table tennis or pool at the poolside bar.
For kids, expect a packed agenda of hotel-run activities like scavenger hunts, table tennis tournaments and poolside games. There are movie screenings for the whole family, too. Alternatively, the arcade and games room will keep them occupied.

Health & Beauty
The hotel-run massage service* is sure to help you relax after a busy day at the parks. Plus, there’s a gym stocked with cardio machines and free weights.

Facility Summary
The pool’s a real family affair - it’s an impressive size and comes with sunbeds, a whirlpool, a snack bar and a splash zone. Food-wise, you can grab breakfast on-the-go from the café or have a full-on meal at Applebee’s Bar and Grill. And for evening entertainment there are family movie screenings and a games room.

Rooms
Double rooms are on offer here at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista. They are spacious and sleep up to four people. You'll have two US queen-size beds. plus free Wi-Fi, too.

Be aware with this hotel there's a $30 a night resort fee to pay, Orlando is turning into Vegas these days with extra costs.... So another $210 to pay at check in.

Many Don't have resort fees, one of the reasons the Rosen chain is so popular as they don't charge it.

We personally always book with Virgin as for the hotel we book Virgin guests don't have to pay it.

Factor in how long it takes to fly there and it's a long way to go for six days

Cheap holiday, expensive country, used to pay 3k all in with tickets and meals out for 2, probably that each now.

That’s quite expensive. I’ve paid £1500 for 2 of us for 14 days next April with BA flying from Gatwick and staying at Rosen Inn.

Insane how it's expensive it's got, we've been 12 times in total, but not been for 5 years, we've decided to go back next year and am shocked, we've paid £4600 for 28 days with Virgin in July/August. Disney tickets now costing £2200 for 4 of us. With all the other parks, food, car hire etc I reckon we're looking at £12-£14k...
