As usual no postage to Northern Ireland, how disappointing.

My experience only; great! I have the green outsunny awning ( 4m x 2.5) and the agree it’s looking a bit grubby after a few years, which is my own fault for not keeping it covered in the winter months. Been excellent in blocking the sun in the living room so it’s not a sauna. I do distinctly remember the fittings were utter garbage tho so make sure you have your own solution which are easy enough to get.

I can't stand being hot, so my awning has saved me a fortune in electricity, because I hardly ever need the  air-conditioning any more. It cost £99 from Costco years ago, and I think it has paid for itself. My house faces the sun all day, which makes the awning especially useful for me.

Since just about every motorhome made has a hand cranked awning, don't think thats much of an issue. More important is how strong the frame is if you get heavy rain or wind, which awnings in general arn't very good with.

My experience only. Never buy a hand cranked awning. Pay the extra and get a electric one.

I have owned a cranked one for years and it works fine still, albeit looking grubby now. I am concerned about how reliable the electric motors are, but there have been times when I wished I'd gone for motorised.
