if its rubbish, in the sense it's no good for your car then there will be a lot of people filing up having issues with their cars. Studies/statistics? Then we come to, what I think you are referring to, your own experience and/or others you have heard about. Well, article from WHICH ..and I quote:
...Opting for cheaper supermarket unleaded is a convenient way for you to save a few pounds every time you fill up. But should you be concerned about the quality of the fuel you’re using?
The short answer is no. All unleaded fuel sold in the UK conforms to the same British Standards, so you shouldn’t consider supermarket fuel to be below par. However, there are small differences between fuels. These could offer subtle benefits, depending on what sort of car you drive.
Aldi/Lidl is £20 cheaper on your average shop
this saves £2.50
they do have some nice cheese and onion pasties though. Miss the days of Netto and 7p Baked beans myself.
If they were not going to make something from this they would not do it - SIMPLES. (edited)
If Costco can manage to sell fuel 15p cheaper makes you think how we're getting fleeced by supermarkets & co. (edited)
Obviously preparing themselves for this "deal"
Morrisons pricing is terrible.
They could give 20p off a litre and you'd still save money going elsewhere
Find a cheaper place is relatively easy i think.
Regarding Morrisons fuel.
You only have to google to find that they have had numerous issues over many years regarding dirty or contaminated fuels from some of forecourts resulting in numerous legal compensation claims from irate customers.
Obviously issues with fuel but who is to blame
Fuel may come from same refineries but not all fuels are the same quality as additives may be added or not.
Am not getting involved with the argument all fuels are the same brigade
Cause they simply aint.
I have found that some supermarket fuels are better quality than others
Would I purchase fuel from Morrisons then i would answer no as from experience there fuel is poor quality
Others will always disagree but
Again its a personal choice 🏴
.
As a bonus I get 4% off Morrisons fuel anyways (mystaffshop)
Not worth the petrol cost to drive there and back.
Oil at it's 2nd lowest price in a year but exchange rate quite a way off on 1.4$/ £1 that we were getting a year ago.
