    Any idea on the read speed and also if its compatible with Macs? How does it compare to the Samsung T7? Thanks

    I've a few 4TB WD Elements Portable (Recertified) drives for back-ups etc, their USB 3 and read/write speeds are pretty fast between them an my MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max, make sure to format them in DiskUtility to APFS (new Apple File System) a long as you don't need to use the drives on Windows/PC's

    I've been using WD Elements for 2 decades now, 99% of my devices are recertified. I didn't even faced a single problem so far..
