Anyone with student email can get it without unidays account.
    young_boss's avatar
I thought people were able to get it with only student ID, they never use to ask for student email.

how would one acquire a ac.uk account?

I'm a student for life because I learn something new everyday.
Don't know what a unidays is though.
    Waqq's avatar
So you're one of those ones who put "university of life" or "hard knocks" on their fb bio

Wish I was a student. They live better than I do. 😔
    supermann's avatar
I dunno, having to live on borrowed money and well under the povery line doesn't sound like fun to me as I get older.

Think there's a limit if using the same account. I was a 'student' for about 5 years, always usually renewed with email and pic of card... Amazon wouldn't renew after that. Even if sending in Totum card
  6. indar's avatar
Have they stopped accepting Totum card for verification?
    Harakui's avatar
Still accepting, just need to email them for verification.
  7. fillroyy's avatar
Useless. I'm currently a student and the unidays verification process is simply broken and will not accept my uni email address. Cold.
    stardust2741's avatar
Email Amazon proof of student status (enrollment letter or form) and they will do it for you. I am doing an apprenticeship and emailed them a copy of my agreement and they refunded me the three months left on my current prime and moved me over to prime student

Totum Pro workaround via NUSx sideload qualifies for Prime Student:

Pls can I has student beanz cod? 🙏🙏🙏
    yuri9's avatar
Times are so tough that even Uncle Scrooge has to resort to asking for a Prime discount.
  11. edward.day's avatar
This deal has been around forever
  12. WhoDey's avatar
...neither hot, nor cold, as I have been offered student trials directly by Amazon 3 times already and did not have to provide ac-type email address
    shyder20155's avatar
How did you sign up when it asks for your edu email address did u just use Normal email address you sign into your account with?
  13. The_Best77's avatar
Ah yes, 6 months free Amazon prime. £9k/year well spent.
  14. Shackalula's avatar
Why is this a deal? It’s ongoing. Hotukdeals changing rules?

  16. Brabus_Duddy's avatar
Wow…..so only students are allowed discounts?? Maybe they should give this deal to long standing prime customers too

    For real?

    Thank you

Any idea why this is on here? Amazon prime has been free for 6 months for students for as long as I can remember.
    robinson216's avatar
Yeah absolutely nothing to do with unidays either, all they're doing is redirecting people to a well known offer which has been around for YEARS.
  19. Ray_DJ's avatar
This has been around for ages even WITHOUT unidays, also mention in the title the 6 month trial is for new customers
  20. DealHub's avatar
    Old news.

To add; in Amazon's eyes you are only allowed to be a student for 3 years max. You cannot leave then go back as a student after those three years. I've tried even with different emails, different payment methods on those different emails, answer is still no.
    AndyRoyd's avatar
"3 years max" = rubbish; Amazon UK states 4 full years unless cancelled:

and I have multiple family members on their second SP registration; the most recent second reg started few months ago late summer 2022.

Maybe you have a restriction on your name / door number / street / pet.

For anyone interested, the good Irish Angel has posted her Amazon Prime deals back on e-(cough)bay for student discount etc.

Hi any boots student code please thanks
    ImTiagoSousa's avatar
I don’t think Boots does codes, you need to link it to your advantage card in store.
  25. MoonlightRacer's avatar
Anyone who's having a unidays code and account to help out for getting this?
  26. Nfakkhan's avatar
Anybody know how to get 6months prime student without email before used to get from eBay

I voted hot! However, I've been offered this 8 months ago directly from Amazon, no ac.uk email, no questions asked. Just out of the blue. Took the 6 months trial, after 6 months paid half price for a year, again no questions asked. Shame is not on my main Amazon account which is linked to my Alexa.
  28. Davidw95's avatar
Not been paying for years using edu
    ashtad's avatar
What you do just creat a new account every 6 months?
  29. Giwin's avatar
Think they use to do useless courses where's thousands signed up but never attended, felt sorry for the host
  30. secretmsg's avatar
    It says 18+ students

    Its not
  31. funguy03's avatar
Anyway of converting a standard account?
    adil171's avatar
Message them and tell them you are a student and want to switch.

They then will tell you to verify your student status one way or another.
  32. ChildofChaos's avatar
I have student prime, i'm not a student, I never verified as being one, heck I never tried to pretend I was one.

A few months ago, amazon would not stop pestering me about it, it kept coming up when I tried to order stuff, adding in a bunch of extra clicks saying i should take the six-month student trial sponsored by Microsoft. I eventually just clicked accept to see if there was some way to disable it, because clicking decline wasn't enough to stop them asking, but it then just gave me the student trial without question.

Not sure if it was just a glitch or what but I've got a few weeks of it left.
    JamesB83's avatar
Yeah that happened to me one time, but never again. Didn't complain! But I think it's probably just a glitch of sorts
  33. Milan_Patel's avatar
I’ve never taken this offer as a *cough* student as a family member would lose the additional family member access to Prime. The saving isn’t worth it to faff about ordering stuff for them.
  34. bas613357's avatar
I am student again and I got one. I don’t know how
    shyder20155's avatar
Did you use a Ac.uk email address or just a normal Hotmail one?
  35. Conkers816's avatar
Surprised it's taken so long for this to be posted as a "deal". I've been on it for a few years - I might have one or two years left but I'm not sure. I use it enough to justify a full price renewal but of course I won't be doing that if i can help it
  36. sumpter's avatar
I have an existing Prime account and when I select student it simply says "no offers available, redirecting.."

I still have .ac.uk address, Unidays & Student Beans
    Eli_Cash's avatar
