Free trial shoudl be free without giving out card details.

Would cancelling be easy. then ? Without inadvertently incurring costs ?

If you having revolut bank, make an instant virtual card and then terminate it after signing up or disposal card on there. Works a bliss. Always use it for the likes of trials

This is Terms & Conditions for 20GB plan. In summary, if you don't renew, you will be charged full price. So, my understanding is - 20GB each month for total £5 for 2 months

“Free Trial Offer” The Offer is for New Online customers only, To be eligible new customers must order a SIM online with allocated plan and enable auto
renewal by registering their payment card.

A £0.05 fee will be charged to confirm credit card details and secure access to the offer.
Please visit lycamobile privacy policy for more details on data protection compliances and fair usage policy terms.
After first 30 days of Free trial, offer price £5 is applied for following 2 months (30 days period) ,thereafter full price £10 is charged.

If renewal fails after free trial period, customer will not benefit the offer price and will be
    charged full price. (edited)

Those terms could also be read as meaning that if renewal fails the customer will not benefit from the £5 offer price for the 2nd and 3rd month, and that seems more likely given that's how they work on their other deals.

So I'd expect customers would just get the 5p first month if they switch off autorenewal, but should be prepared just in case Lyca do indeed do something weird and try and charge more.

Unless desperate for extra data it seems less grief just to go with a couple of the 6 month deals and switch data between the two sims.

If it's like Lebara you just turn off the auto renew feature. Then no payment can be taken.

I agree. I have Lebara myself but wanted different carrier for daughter as all the house on same Vodafone network. Just incase we go out and we can't get reception.

I actually gave this a go & using 2 different cards both failed citing incorrect CVV

They'll need lots of 5ps to pay the 105mill in tax they owe
    b4dr1's avatar
What's this news about tax? Can you expand please?

Download speed is absolute rubbish! Not possible to see any video without buffering
    jnm21's avatar
I have to say I got decent speeds, but nothing near as good as Lebara.

I would mark this deal as £10 for 3 months. That's bare minum else £10 full charge for free month.

I suggest you use a card with minimum funds in account.

free means free. I wouldnt touch lyca mobile

Do we need to activate any bundle or it’s automatic

In order the 20gb but in the confirmation email it says "You’ll need one of our great value plans to use it - so why not explore our latest offers right now?" So I would also like to know this.
