Is the tyre pressure gauge really accurate?

I have analog RAC inflator, but the exact pressure is hard to read, and it seems that the pressure drops while I am detaching the pump (no matter how quick I detach). Is this gauge a solution for that? (edited)

They all do that because of the design. The workaround for me is to inflate by an extra PSI or two
