Return policy is not good. They’ve been very niggly with me in the past on damaged goods, and outright refused when a part I bought didn’t fit.

The free glasses sold it for me

Think of it as £400 for a pair of glasses, + you get a free monitor too

Don't expect actual useful HDR on this ... need at least 600 nits for useful HDR .
    Alex_H's avatar
True. No local dimming either. The HDR is basically a tick box, I wouldn't enable it at all.

Seriously tempted by this… But does anyone know how well these work with Macs?

Hi I'm not a gamer much. Have a Ps4 pro and mostly play battlefield maybe and hour or 2 and watch TV about the same. Should I get a oled TV or this.
    quertbarbie62's avatar
If you sit on the couch then TV would work out better for you, especially if you want bigger screens. Monitors are expensive and you can get a bigger 4k TV at this price point, not sure about OLED though. Monitors are better for when you are sitting a couple of feet away from the screen and needing a faster response time.

Not sure if it matters but I have registered my monitor with Acer UK. It now shows as being registered in my name. (edited)

Please can you share the dimensions of the circular stand when you set it up? Need to see if it will fit on my desk.

Has there ever been a deal on here (especially monitors) without criticism. This is not a bad deal for under £400 yet there's always people that will find fault. Thanks for the post heat from me and without criticism.

I think so yeah. Also, nice ports:
    - HDMI 2.1
    - USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C
So PS5 should be OK with this as well ( 4K 120Hz video output) (edited)

Seems a good deal and decent spec.
Can't find this exact model, minus the glasses, on Amazon tho..?

Anyone know if this will work with G-Sync on an Nvidia card, understanding that it officially supports Freesync..?

    Thanks

Can someone tell me a few good deals for 144Hz+ 32" IPS but CURVED displays?
I can't go back to flat now
    moshispam's avatar
At 32" I think a curved display would distort the image too much for my tastes, 32" flat seems like the perfect size to me. I understand if you have curved vision, it returns to normal after a few hours looking at a flat screen.

    Mine arrived this morning.

Setup on a PC with a RTX 4080. Connected via DP. All running well and it seems G-Sync compatible.
Most impressed overall with the monitor.

Any ghosting or issues with fonts? Seen some negative comments regarding the latter.

I bought this, and pretty happy with for the price (been looking at 144hz 4k monitors for a few weeks and this is definitely the cheapest I've seen from any of the major brands). Only thing was the brightness out of the box was terrible, even on 100. I was considering trying to send it back, but then found a 'max brightness setting' and once you turn that on the brightness is fine, currently set to about 50/100 with max brightness on.

Don't really know much about monitors so might have a look at more settings in future... anyway, had it connected to my PC via display port and played some games on it last night which it did a good job with, movement seemed pretty smooth etc, picture looked good to me. Got it connected to my work laptop via HDMI now and no issues there either - text is nice and clear (although my work usb c hub only seems to be able to run it at 30fps so mouse movements are slightly unnatural - this is due to the hub being rubbish though).

Not noticed any dead / stuck pixels.
    VimesUK's avatar
Yeah I agree, with that "hidden" setting for brightness. Apparently due to "eco" requirements.

There is a video here, not quite our model, that goes into some settings that can apply...

The manual itself is a waste of time. Thought it might be decent, but apart from one page being in English it then contains every other language to make up for its thickness...!
Half the settings were largely unknown to me.

Mine is connected via DP with a 4080.
