Yep, good price for a 10Litre 'takeaway'. Once you have the container though you may find a local fuel station with a pump (usually in a lane for trucks) which can be even cheaper. A Shell one near me was 69.9p/litre. One on the Motorway was 99.9p/litre though.

How long before the fuel snobs say the cheap stuff doesn't let their car run properly...gives poorer mpg....damages their engine....? (edited)

Lol my car (Mondeo) has averaged 53.1mpg over the total 28000 miles I had it. Needs no additives and costs 20quid a year to tax

Quite happy to use AdBlue to my Mercedes C250 for £20 per year road tax or whatever they call it. Plus middle to late 40mpg.

And then you have dpf issues, fatal if you have a Mazda engine design that dumps diesel in to the sump(!) dmf issues for sticking to lower revs and using the low down torque causing vibrations, which is the reason people often prefer diesels over petrol to begin with.

Id never buy a modern diesel, I'd honestly have an rx8 before I'd consider a diesel. (edited)

Our local commercial/truck service centre refused to fill containers, had to be filled directly into vehicle tank.

Cheaper to just go down ya local farm and get a cow to pee in an empty bottle (and it's undiluted)
