The machine is a nightmare to clean, run it though on a water only cycle i.e to make a cup of tea and its constantly leaving black bits floating in the water, most likely cofee residue. Despite thoroughly dismantling it and letting all the parts soak for a good while and then scrubbing.

Another major problem is the pods are proprietary so expensive to buy and there arent really any compatible or refillable ones, if you're gonna go for a pod machine, the Tassimo system is the worst.

I boxed mine up and stuck it in the loft, gave away all the pods.

I've got Tassimo and Dolce Gusto. I've purchased 2 different brands, as sometimes I find on sale Dolce Gusto pods (or 3rd party), and other times I find on sale Tassimo pods. So, it helps me save money. True, I find DG (or alternatives) on sale more often.

Can I used this for hot water only? seems like a good deal to use as a Instant Hot Water Dispenser

think this is the pod machine which sells rip off pods. of which half are milk and only half coffee.
Yes it is on hols we had this machine and purchased 16 pods for £10 only to find 8 were coffee and 8 milk pods. Just so you know..It's not obvious on the packet either.
We have a cheap Vurtuo machine which takes small Nespresso pods which you can buy in b and m as replica pods.
just looking and these Tassimo ones are flooding the market. Ours was only £35 and had it ages The Tassimo scales up in no time and needs rescaling. (edited)

It's made very clear on the packaging how many drinks you get e.g. the lattes will show x6 or x8.

£10 is steep though, the RRP per pack is at least half that.

Used Nespresso in the past, now in the tassimo time. And honestly when nice pods are on deal this makes perfect coffee for me

This is what I do to have a full coffee and it tastes great.
Don't buy cappuccino as you'll only get half a cup.
Latte will give you a fuller cup. I then use a creamer and this gives a nice smooth Latte and a full mug.
You can do the same with Cappuccino. To have a full cup run the same coffee pod twice then the milk and add the creamer.
Makes a nice Cappuccino or Latte this way. (edited)

all other colours are £97, not sure why this one is heavily discounted, but good buy if anyone wants to try it

Effectively free I guess, if you still get the 2x£10 vouchers (when registered with Tassimo) against pod purchase from TASSIMO.

Free delivery if you buy 2?
2 x machine registrations = 2x2 £10 vouchers = 2 free machines, kinda, but I believe the vouchers have a "use by" date, so the "clock" starts ticking down from the point of registration.

They (Tassimo) use to let you stack both vouchers. Not anymore so the vouchers are useless for me because I can get cheaper from Amazon S&S by stacking vouchers.

Won't be buying anymore pods till next year because still got loads from this deal. (edited)

Hardly use mine any more, used to buy loads of pods, but since they started ripping people off with 6 instead of 8 pods in a pack they can whistle.
Keep meaning to get one of them refillable jobs, but it sort of spoils the convenience of just popping a pod in.

Buy in bulk direct from Tassimo to get the standard 16/8 packs when 30% discount codes and TCB/Quidco bonus cashback offers are available

Try a Nespresso if you can before settling on a Tassimo. I had a Tassimo and to me they taste watery and weak. Nespresso makes you a proper coffee (unless you want all the Tassimo hot chocs etc) (edited)
