I believe my 1st gen anc capability has been nerfed through software updates. I would be very wary of buying any ear/headphones that have the possibility to be tampered with through software updates. Cold from me I'm afraid. (edited)

That's apple for you. They done it to the battery life of older phones and got caught

now all we need is 2nd generation at this price

My 1st gen pair developed the trademark booming noise. Due to the date of production, Apple would not repair/replace despite this being a known fault.

For that reason, I'd spend a bit more and go with the 2nd gen.

Surely for that reason you’d give that company more money? Wha?

Any chance this code works with the 2nd gen too? Can’t check without having to register and enter all details during checkout…

I’m currently trialling the 2nd gen and they’re so much better that I wouldn’t consider the 1st gen at this price.

Much better in what way i.e. sound quality, noise cancelling, battery life etc? I’m undecided  as to whether the 2nd ed is worth the extra sowould love to understand the benefits. Thanks

Good price. I’ve had a pair for years, can’t fault them.

If you’re gonna spend £168 for the 1st gens you might as well spend the extras £60 and get the 2nd gens

Don't waste your money on these. I had mine replaced multiple times and the issue returns after 6 months of use, without fail. Design defect IMO.
    Get AirPods Pro 2 instead.

And yes, this says "Apple has determined that a small percentage of AirPods Pro may experience sound issues. Affected units were manufactured before October 2020."
That was NOT my experience. All the replacements exhibited the same issue over time. (edited)
