But, the smallest OLED TV is a 42 inch, which is pretty big. No height or tilt adjustment, which for me is very important in a monitor.
Also, they are designed for different purposes. There's controls to hand on a monitor, which I use multiple times a day Vs a TV which has a remote control, which is fairly clunky versus a proper user interface.
Also, monitors are designed in a way that you can sit relatively close to them - that is mainly how monitors are used. TV's aren't designed with close viewing in mind at all. People do it, but doesn't mean they should.
Also, most people don't have a setup able to run 4K properly which means they'll go down to 2560 x 1440. Ultrawide is a different experience to your standard aspect ratio.
There's loads of other things but those come to mind. (edited)
Having tried OLED there's no way I'd go back to IPS/VA. (edited)
Don't let your dreams be dreams
Dell are also £100 off on orders over 750 on Amex.
AH... I thought this was the QD-OLED. (edited)
Though I’ll probably end up kicking myself on Black Friday when HUKD offers it to you lot for £500
I *did* briefly have a 49" uuuuuultrawide thatw as basically the resolution of two 1080p monitors side by side and functionally it was just terrible. Input switching was heinous and barely worked, image was ehhhhh, went back the day after I received it.
With VA/IPS/OLED/QLED there's always trade offs. Ghosting vs quality of blacks vs response times etc. This one for me is fairly average. But if you're in the market for a 21:9 with a 4k monitor's pixel width there are far worse options than this.
