Isn't this mic the model with both USB & XLR? The scarlet isn't absolutely necessary if that's the case. You can argue XLR has better quality etc but 9 out of 10 people will be happy using it in usb mode.

Correct and great advice, I just wish it wasn't micro usb.

The MV7X is the XLR only version.

Pretty good starter bundle. Personally if you're looking into getting serious about streaming then I would consider these as an alternative.

I agree but would suggest that Audient EVO is better for newbies with loopback and auto input gain functionality.
