So far I’ve order a few different Amazon brand things from clothes to household things & all have been good value tbh

I agree, their basics range is good for all sorts of things. All my family laughed at me when I bought my Amazon Basics packing cube set about 4 years ago, still going strong and all of my family have packing cubes.....who's laughing now....(that'd be Amazon).

    Thanks op

Have a random set of of knives that have survived previous sets over the years.

Seem to go blunt despite sharpening once a week.

Victorinox 'tomato' knives are ultra-sharp + stay that way (tomatoes skins are renowned for blunting even the best knives).

Regularly posted as Amazon deals here, they go for around £6-£8 each. I have used the same knife for everything now for years, incl' raw de-boning, then carving cooked joints of meat.

Get a vibrant coloured handle so you always see it/know where it is before it takes off your finger tip. (edited)

These are an OCD sufferers dream, no parts to get things caught on ot water getting trapped between the handle parts. I've had similar for years and tried convincing my son to get these, unfortunately, his snob value won out and he won't have them due to the Amazon Basics printed on. But heat added for the price.

I do wonder if they get slippery though when wet.

Thank you so much OP! Reviews sound incredible, this appears to have just launched in the UK so I think they're trying to draw in UK reviewers with a massive price cut.

Those are to be FAKE reviews on this item
It is PLASTIC handles brushed to look like polished metal.

    Terrible quality.

They did feel a bit light - though still happy with mine. Have you cut one open to prove this? Intrigued now

Zero 1 and 2 star reviews! This has to be something special Heat!

Don't ever bother with large knife sets, because realistically you will only use 2-3 of them.

Perfect first set of knifes for my first house!! Thanks op.

I’ve given them a punt. The handle is similar to the Richardson ones we’ve had for over 20 years and have been very happy with, but are now starting to show their age. Finding a replacement that feels good to use is a pain.

    Great spot OP, ordered, heated!

Cheap knives won't hold their sharpness so be sure to get a decent sharpener - that big stick you see chefs using isn't a sharpener, they are de-burring already sharp knives.

Hope they are decent. Decided to risk getting a set.
