    Pay £10 more and get the Kids version. You get an extra year's warranty including breakage, a cover and no ads. The hardware is the same as the regular one and the Kids setting can be switched off in Settings making it a regular Kindle. That's how I am using mine.

    It takes a 2 minute conversation with Amazon support to turn off ads if you want them gone. (edited)

    Thanks for the deal. I bought this a couple of weeks ago from Argos and after thinking if I wanted it in all that time I have just opened it. Bit disappointed that it's not much bigger than my phone screen, but hey ho.
