Not quite that simple! You still need to use Saute to brown your meat (first) and reduce sauce (end). That said I picked up an Instant Pot last week and not used it yet - bloke gave me two books with it, absolutely dreadful the pair of them. Fingers crossed this and the last one (curry) are better! It better impress me...
If you want to end up with a slushy, tasteless, watery mess then yes. To actually time everything correctly with the texture and flavour you're after it is surprisingly difficult and requires alot of trial and error.
Isn't a pressure cooker recipe book simply a case of repeating the following for every dish? 1.) take your ingredients 2.) put them in your pressure cooker I know that the "Instant Pot" fad is there to be milked for all its worth, but this does seem a bit pointless.
Yup, I feast my eyes with photos which I enjoy, no text only versions for me, thanks. I ask because:- I put a privacy blocker on my broswer, so my Amazon page "to buy function" does not work, unless I manually switch off my privacy setting. It is a bit of a hassle to switch off blocker, buy it on Amazon, then switch on blocker again. So that's why I and other having privacy settings on high, appreciate a clarification on whether there are illlustrations and photos.
Sorry splender I know you prefer recipe books with pictures.
